We were looking forward to staying at this hotel, my partner had been before & gave good words about it which made me book for us again. Lovely welcome, but as soon as we got to the room, there was hair all over the bed, a ball of hair on the bathroom side & dust absolutely everywhere. Not only this, the main bedroom spotlights flickered all night & prior to using the bath we got the jets going just incase it was dirty, and the amount of dirt all along the rim of the bath from it was disgusting. So we didn’t use it. To end, we were giving a small electric heater which didn’t heat the size of the room at all, there was no main heater for the room & we froze all night. Definitely overpriced, yes it’s posh but definitely not clean which doesn’t make it worth it. Will not be going back.

Lovely quirky hotel with bespoke rooms. Great to have a jacuzzi bath. Good selection at breakfast of both hot buffet & continental options. Special mention must go to Paul who went out of his way to ensure our stay was comfortable - outstanding customer service from him! Thank you will definitely return.

This was our 2nd stay at the hotel and it just gets better and better.

We went for The Beaujolais day event and booked to stay the night as well.

Arrived at hotel to check in to be told we were in The Bridal Suite

Stunning room, fluffy carpets, clean and jacuzzi bath with rain fall shower - ALL STUNNING

BEAUJOLAIS DAY was wonderful, food was beautiful and the live music, DJ and Magician made it for us.

Everybody so happy and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Can't wait to come back to experience home from home AGAIN.

Thank you @coalexchange

Overall great staff after a shaky start at reception. Nearly all the staff we met were friendly and very helpful.

Slightly odd being asked for proof of my identity, be warned there is no reason for any hotel to require this from a UK customer when they already have all your details!

Sanitised TV remote given at check in which is very good.

The room was a little disappointing and but for this I would have given 5 stars. I am sure the staff work hard and may be understaffed as the room needed a good deep clean, carpet corners, mirrors etc. The room layout itself was ok, lack of decent channels on the TV (not Smart).

That said, this is an amazing old building, the bar was empty when we went for an early drink but the atmosphere was still fantastic.

Would use again if we are in the area.

Enjoyed our stay in this wonderful hotel. The building is beautiful . The staff are excellent, friendly, helpful and very informative about the history of the original building. We had a minor problem with our room but it was quickly sorted without any fuss or drama.
Cant wait for a return visit.
