A huge thank you to the team on for Sunday Lunch on 4th February. We were celebrating my parents 55th Wedding Anniversary with a family Sunday lunch. On behalf of Mum and Dad you made their day very special. Even though you were busy because it was a 6 Nation's weekend, we were not rushed and you did everything we asked for. The food was lovely and reasonable priced. They had also asked for extra roast potatoes (some places are very stingy with their roasties) but well done to whoever thought of the Giant Yorkshire Pudding packed with them. Definitely brought a laugh to the table. Thanks again for such a special experience.

Room Tip: Lovely view of the Bay with a table by the window

We stayed here for one night in January and were lucky enough to be allocated room 713 which had its own balcony and fantastic views over the bay to Penarth. There was every amenity in the room (although maybe the cleaning could have been a bit more thorough). No problems with check-in. Be aware that the hotel website (as others have noted) directs you to the Q parking by the Millennium Centre which was very reasonably priced but is a fair walk to the hotel. We would definitely recommend dropping bags etc off at the hotel first of all before parking - and take an umbrella! We used the swimming pool and spa in the morning and it was a wonderful start to the day. The breakfast afterwards was superb with plenty of choice and set us up for the day. It is good to see the odd bilingual (Welsh/English) signage around the place - da iawn! Also, it's good to stay at a hotel in Wales which includes S4C prominently on the TV channel guide.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a bay view and a balcony.

Dear Jac_Abertawe2015,

It’s fantastic to see that you enjoyed your stay and found us to be a perfect weekend break. Thank you for bringing the directional car parking advice to our attention. Our car park has 63 spaces but there are 238 spaces in the car park adjacent, so not so far as the Millennium centre.

We look forward to welcoming you back on a future occasion.

Kind regards

Hotel is very nice and modern. Spa is fantastic and clean. Staff are friendly and and go the extra mile to ensure your stay is spectacular.

One concern is the location - the walk to food court/shops in bay is dark with no lights.

Dear Reviewer,

Thank you for your review. I am delighted to see how the team went the extra mile to make your stay a memorable one.

Sorry to see your walk to the Bay was a little dark. There are a number of routes around to Mermaid Quay from the hotel and all the public areas are well lit. I am aware that the walk way by the adjacent apartment block can be dark as it appears to be a public walk way but it is privately owned and managed. But please never fear as Cardiff Bay is a very safe and pleasant area to be walking at night.

We trust we will be seeing you again in the near future and look forward to welcoming you back.

We stayed four nights, good reception and check in and check out, assisted with luggage both ways , room had everything you could need , bathroom luxurious plenty of room for my stuff. !
Very close to plenty of restaurants , Wetherspoon, bills, Chinese , subway , just a wee walk from Hotel .
We decided not to pay £18.50 per person for breakfast and instead just walk to Wetherspoon or subway for a meal at half the cost, the odeon Cinema is within walking distance we saw two movies during our stay .
I went to the spa every morning, the Hotel supply dressing gowns towels and slippers even a token for the locker !
The gym has a great view and I was on the exercise bike every day, the pool is cool but I did read other reviews and expected this.
There was a small child there and he wouldn’t go in as it was too cold .
There is a private lift to the gym and spa which means you can just go down in your gear with your dressing gown on , thought this was a great touch .
The view from our room was wonderful , the car park is £20 a night , which I thought was a bit steep but again I knew when I booked, all in all a great stay , plenty to do near by , we had two drinks on the bar £23 for a gin ( with too much ice ) and a Bacardi and Coke ! My tip go to Wetherspoon
Would like to return in the summer ,
Good location and views x
Skip breakfast and go out for it that will pay for the car park. !!!!!

Dear buttsScotland,

Thank you for such a detailed review. It’s great that you had a comfortable stay in a room that suited all your needs and made use of the spa facilities during your stay.

It is a pity you didn’t have breakfast with us as we regularly get compliments on what good value it is, especially when booked in advance at only £12 per person. There are also breakfast items too, ranging from Eggs Benedict to smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.

We trust we will be seeing you again very soon and look forward to welcoming you back.

Kind regards
