This is a hotel with a lot of character. Some of the room facilities are not what you would get in one of the big name multi-nationals, but that doesn't detract from what the Lincoln House Hotel offers.
Our room was reasonably large. overlooking the rear car park. There were more power points than I could shake a stick at - I think I counted 13! If I have a complaint it must be that the added on en-suite bathroom was very small and showed evidence of multiple wall/tile drillings with prominent polyfilla remedial works! You could sit on the loo, brush your teeth in the wash hand basin and have your feet in the shower at the same time. That's hardly of consequence when you look at the plus points - a very comfortable bed, a more than generous full Welsh breakfast served speedily by friendly and efficient staff, free parking (although restricted to 12 spaces) and good proximity to the City Centre and the adjacent Park leisure areas. Visitors should be aware that the 'bar' is not a regular drinking establishment. At 9pm I found it in darkness but was quickly provided with a bottle of beer (there is no draught beer) by the receptionist when I queried this situation.
Would I stay here again? Definitely - the pluses far outweigh any shortfallsMore
