Amazing Cathedral - if you appreciate timeless architecture then you need to take a look at this place. I popped in as I was passing and was made to feel very welcome when having a wonder around. The grounds are also fascinating.

Well worth an hour of your time.

Free parking very close also

A beautifully restored Gothic cathedral in the “city within a city”. The cathedral was the second most damaged in WW2 after Coventry but has been sensitively restored with a stunning contemporary structure – The Majesty of Christ by Jacob Epstein – as the centrepiece. Quite unique to have such a piece of art in the middle of a cathedral. No entry fee but donations are welcomed. A must to visit if you are in Cardiff.
Top Tip – don’t trust your satnav using the postcode (coordinates might work) but keep a keen eye on the brown signs. We found easy, free parking adjacent to the cathedral.

Situated in Llandaff on the way into Cardiff, access to this Cathedral is from a side street just off the main road, parking is very close by, the cathedral is just a short walk down a steep slope or for those who have difficulty with walking on the slop I understand that there is a drop off point at the rear. Very close to the cathedral there are pubs which do food, cafes and restaurants. Do call in

Beautiful Cathedral. Also an area of the Church dedicated to Service personnel from the Welsh Regiments. Quite moving to see how many have lost their lives in more recent conflicts. A huge spectacular organ was installed in 2010,. It's most unusual for a Church/Cathedral to have a new organ these days and I was told it's extremely loud!
It's many years since I visited and I am very glad we did. Think it would be wonderful to visit for a Carol Service at Christmas time.
