We loved staying at the Dukes at Queens. Very reasonably priced but with a luxury feel. Very comfortable rooms. Perfect for relaxing in. Well stocked bar with an excellent gin collection. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good food. Great location. Plenty of cafe's, bar's and restaurant's surrounding the hotel and a walking distance to the city center.

Room tip: This hotel had a budget price for a luxury stay

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Dukes in Belfast The staff were amazing the room was large the bathroom luxurious, the bed was the best hotel bed I've ever stayed in, The breakfast was of a fair standard. Unfortunately we had a couple of moans, our room was above the bar and disco where a company were having their Christmas bash, so very noisy until 1.am. but after all it was Christmas time. Bah Humbug our only real complaint was the room was very dark not enough lighting, quite a few of the bulbs were not working. But none of this deterred from the GOOD time we had, if your planning a trip to Belfast Dukes at Queens is the place for you, so central very enjoyable its a must.

Room tip: Not over the disco

I have stayed at a few nice hotels in Belfast over the years and Dukes at Queens is now my favourite. The room I stayed in on the second floor was nicely decorated - it had a nice large clean bathroom with separate shower and bath, and a big and comfortable bed. The only criticism I have of the room is that it should have had a minibar, and some bottled water would have been a nice addition (small complaints I guess but I would have really appreciated these). The staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was quite good also.

The location is one of the nicest in the city. While it's a 20 minute walk or a short bus or taxi ride into the city centre, it's worth the journey as you are very near the impressive Lanyon building at Queen's University, less than a five minute walk away from the botanical gardens, and close to the Ulster museum.

I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel décor is lovely, rooms very spacious and the beds extremely comfortable. Only 2 complaints. I've been in two different rooms and both times the shower was very disappointing. Looks the part but is quite weak. Secondly the pillows are really hard I would very much appreciate some softer or feather pillows. However these are minor things, the staff are really friendly, the food has always been delicious ( I sent back my poached egg as it was too hard for my taste but the replacement was perfect) and I always choose Dukes now when I can.

We stayed over at the end of November to celebrate our anniversary and had such a good time. The room was lovely, staff very attentive and friendly and the food delicious. There was entertainment on the night and a great atmosphere in the bar/ dining room . It is handy to the train station in Botanic and night clubs / bars as well as being close enough to walk into the city centre- Really lovely place to stay
