“Much needed weekend break!!!!!!!!!”
Reviewed 5 March 2012

Just spent a lovely relaxing weekend at the hotel. Arrived around 10.15pm on Friday night, to be greeted by a smile and told the evening entertainment had just began in the lounge and we were more than welcome to call in for a tipple after we settled into our room. The room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed, including tea and coffee making facilities, not to mention a lovely comfy kingsize bed! An added bonus that we were given a free wifi voucher for unlimited use for the duration of our stay.We had requested a room not too close to the nite club and were glad this request and any others were met. On Saturday, after a great hearty breakfast, the reception staff gave us a run down on the area and tourist attractions, equipped with maps, leaflet etc off we went! We returned at 6pm after visiting and thoroughly enjoying all the sights recommended by the hotel with just enough time to chill out before getting ready for dinner. In the restuarant we were shown to a lovely candle lit table, waited on by friendly efficient staff and served delicious cuisine, our only regret was that we were to full to eat every last bit of the scrumptious desserts! After our meals had settled we headed to the lounge where the group had just began, after a few drinks and a sing a long, we decided to give the nite club a try, being in our mid thirties and early fourties it's been a long time from we done that!!!!!!!!!! Great music, effective door men, keeping a good eye out for potential trouble, by the way, there was none. Then at 2am, back to the lounge for the residents bar, just a quick nite cap turned into rolling into bed at 4.15am as the bar staff and management were such great craic. We were told not to rush to get up in the morning, have a lie in, don't be in a hurry to leave, we even got a friendly special offer leaflet under the door to stay a third night at a very reasonable price, just a pity we had work and children to get home to. Sunday morn, after a nice lie in and another delicious breakfast, we set off to use the leisure facilities armed with snow white fluffy towels provided at reception, we stayed at the pool, sauna, jacuzzi etc, much longer than intended, 3 hours infact, now really relaxed we decided to stay for the carvery lunch, a bargain at under £9 each, once again, we couldn't fault the food, waiting staff or service, finally we checked out at 3pm and headed home. A lovely weekend was had, great service, staff, accommodation, meals, everything 1st class. We will without a doubt be returning in the near future. Being in the hospitality industry our selves, there is nothing more we could have asked for.

Room Tip: request a room with a view over the golf course, these are a little further away from the nite club...

Stay here every Feb for the Armagh Int'l road race, have always had a top class experience here. Staff is great, top to bottom, food is always great, and the bar/lounge is a perfect place to unwind at the end of the day. Always look forward to my stay here.

We stayed for one night at this hotel in a family room.
We arrived after a slightly difficult journey north caused by us not checking directions properly and taking wrong exit! Hotel is very easy to find from Dublin side - just there!
Check-in was a dream. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, chatty and genuinely interested in why we were there. Our room wasn't ready, but that wasn't a problem for us. We got directions to where we needed to go and came back later. At that stage the system hadn't been updated for our room to have been cleaned, so she went off to check it as she thought it should be. It was ready and we went off. Really nice room and really nice bathroom too. Only negative for me was shower curtain in bathroom - I hate them!! Shower was really powerful, but thought products offered were scant.
We went down to bar then, had a drink and watched some tv. Service at bar was same level of friendliness. At some point we booked dinner for later than night.
Dinner was wonderful. Food was excellent, but service was even better! We had a truly wonderful meal.
We went back to bar where there was music playing and a big crowd with a great atmosphere.
Slept really well in a lovely comfortable bed.
Breakfast was very good as well. It was reasonably busy. As we came in, they asked for a room number and if we wanted tea/coffee. I didn't expect to actually get that tea as it was "sit where you like" - I assumed they were taking numbers to get it ready - but my tea landed to me soon afterwards - they just seem to remember people somehow.
The only bottleneck in the service was at the toaster.
Check-out was as pleasant and easy as check-in.
No hestiation in going back here.

I stayed at this hotel for the first time in January and thought it caters very well for a variety of people. I was there for two nights and there did not appear to be many guests but it was busy. It has very good conference facilities, leisure facilities and a lot of local people using the bar, coffee bar in the lounge and restaurant. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient throughout my stay and the bedrooms were very comfortable and the hotel was clean and tidy. The restaurant food was good quality and the breakfast was adequate. WiFi was available all over the hotel and free, which is a pleasant change compared to other hotels I have stayed in. There is plenty of car parking and the location is excellent. I would certainly book in again in the future.
