Fabulous scenery rivers walk was amazing even on a dull day. Would seriously recommend this walk as it was recommended to me. Always something different to see lots of old bridges a folly stepping stones across the river if you are brave enough and waterfalls

We took a stroll at the bottom of the forest along with river with family and our dog. Was really lovely and the views were fantastic. Was interesting to see some of the points where they filmed games of thrones too, bring a GOT fan. Parking was £4.50 and you’re literally on the edge of the forest. It’s a nice easy walk near the car park as you can follow lots of paths next to the river. Would definitely go back and I will definitely be coming back some day.

We enjoyed what we saw of Tollymore Forest Park, even though it rained like crazy while we were there. Of course no one can blame a sight because of the weather (although I’ve read a lot of negative reviews where people try), so you just have to deal with it (or not).

There’s a modest admission fee, and parking isn’t a problem. The foot paths are in pretty good shape, but I think signage could be improved a little (they do provide a map, but it’s crude, at best). Because of the torrential downpours, we only made it through part of the park, but we did get to see the Hermitage and a few of the bridges, which were just lovely.

I will say that we wouldn’t go out of our way to revisit Tollymore Forest Park; there are just too many other and more incredible places in Ireland to see. Still, we enjoyed it, and are glad we stopped.

Really loved our visit here. We did the red walking trail which took us all over, next to the river, through the woods, and for all the game of thrones fans - north of winterfell!! Unfortunately we were unable to cross the river via the steppingstones as the water level was too high, but all good. Wish we could have spent longer here & I imagine in autumn it would be spectacular.
