Spotlessly clean & incredibly comfortable.

Having had a makeover during lockdown the rooms (we stayed twice) are lovely & perfectly sufficient. Good location & despite no carpark, parking was easy.

Recommended.

Wow, what a gem! This boutique hotel in the beautiful town of Inveraray, Scotland, was such a find. The staff was all so generous and kind. They could not have been more helpful or gracious to us. My husband and I were there for three nights, and enjoyed the room as well as the restaurant downstairs. Our plan came with breakfast, which was always served quickly and was truly delicious. Our room was large and so was the bathroom. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Room tip: Try to get Room #4

We had an enjoyable stay at Brambles for just one night. Standard King Bedroom was large and pleasant. Comfortable bed etc.

But the curtains aren’t wide enough for the windows! There is a blind but the curtains should still be wider to stop light coming into the room!

Bathroom was nice with a large-ish shower etc (but there’s no shaver/toothbrush charging point), I wouldn’t quite say the bathroom was luxurious per the website but it’s nice enough.

Decor is nice throughout.

There are stairs if you’re on the second floor and whilst not a spiral stairscase, they are a bit tight… not for the infirm…help with luggage might be useful.

Breakfast was nice… very good eggs benedict, and ‘meaty’ breakfast, refills of nice coffee etc. Food items can’t be “swapped” which is not good… for example, I can’t eat fried eggs but I can eat poached eggs, and so on. Also it would have been nice to have had fruit and say yogurt as well. This is definitely the norm elsewhere (I’d be happy paying a little more for this).

Parking was easy, immediately outside, but I think we were lucky.

Inveraray is a nice, small place to visit but the setting on the loch etc is very nice, especially if you get a sunny day. The castle is fantastic (even in the rain).

Booking of restaurants for an evening meal is essential (per the hotel’s website) …we eventually found a table at the Inveraray Inn, which for ‘pub food’ was very good.

Excellent servicewas provided and the cafe was very covid-safe. There is plenty of room, lovely home-made cakes, hot drinks at reasonable prices and, the icing on the cake, great music (but at just the right volume - not too loud). There was some interesting art work on the walls.

Superbly Comfortable & Spotlessly Clean. That's almost all I need to write. But that's not fair on the owners because their establishment is a treasure. We arrived outside of standard check in hours but a quick phone call and the owner was straight with us. Our room was upstairs and was just delightful. Well appointed with a beautiful wooden sleigh bed and a large bathroom with walk in shower and a roll top bath. Quality toiletries were provided. This was our first trip since the onset of the pandemic and it was wonderful to be made to feel so safe. Breakfast mustn't be overlooked. It was blooming lush. Thank you. We'll be back x

Room tip: On street parking available. Don't miss breakfast.
