Dated, small room at rear of hotel for £162.00 was not what I expected.
En suite from the eighties with badly fitting door and silicon applied with a trowel.
Position is good but small car park, breakfast is buffet, but well cooked. If you can get this hotel for less than £100.00 then go ahead, otherwise look elswhere

We paid almost £140 foe bed and breakfast. To say we were disappointed with our room is an understatement. This room belongs back in the 1970s. The furniture in it i wouldnt give to a charity shop! Window had to be held open with toilet roll. Room was dark and dingy. Location was good. Staff were friendly. Would not return.

We only stayed the one night here but the staff could not have been any friendlier or more helpful. Our first trip away with the dog and great to find a dog friendly hotel. We left very early in the morning and had a packed breakfast waiting for us. The hotel is very central to Oban and very handy for the ferry terminal. Surprisingly easy parking also.

Central hotel. Very clean but the refurbished room was odd and noisy. Paint peeling off window frame and paintwork was yellow but there was nice bright white tiles in the bathroom. The whole hotel decor is bland. Breakfast was disappointing. Bacon and sausages were tough. Kids boxed orange juice instead of normal juice. No fruit or fresh bakery. Our previous hotel managed to provide during covid. Nice helpful staff. Not value for money. Paid 150 per night.

We stayed for four nights and found overall we had a great time

The Pros
- great central location to town centre , harbour , and ferry’s with some lovely front walks along promenade.
- well managed COVID measures throughout hotel
- good timescales in breakfast early to later very flexible

The Cons
- car parking very limited having to use local car parks
- dinner menu limited meaning eating out mostly
- paid extra for superior room however bathroom very small and in need of updating
- team could be more engaging

Room tip: Plan car parking and meal bookings in advance
