Stayed 3 nights as part of my wife’s birthday celebrations and would highly recommend.

Right from check in the service was friendly, relaxed and professional. Breakfast was simply the best we’ve ever had, thank you chef!

We also loved the pre-breakfast box of fresh orange juice and warm croissants. Views from our Room (Room 8) were spectacular both morning and evening and it was really quiet too. The interior decor is modern, stylish and bold, we really liked it.

Bed and bedding were first class, parking on site was safe and free and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The lounge is stylish, cozy and honesty bar system works well. We were lucky enough to enjoy a couple of hours of late afternoon sunshine on the lovely terrace with a top quality G&T, looking out to sea. Perfect!

Room tip: Room 8 has great views but is on top floor (about 40 stairs) so might not suit some.

Best Boutique hotel we've stayed in. off street parking Great staff, booked us a lovely meal at the "Waterfront fishhouse" all glass overlooking Oban bay... Wow !
Our room was perfect, with private balcony.
Warm atmosphere & decor through out. Views out the main lounge bay window day or night are special.
Breakfast was cooked to perfection & the open plan breakfast room is a very nice touch, watching the chef in action is great !

Room tip: Room 4 has a private balcony overlooking the bay

Beautifully decorated and appointed in Victorian style.
Outstanding breakfast prepared by an expert chef.
Great Wi-Fi.
Small room.
We had to ask to have the room serviced, despite a service the room label on the door.
Misleading website; No 26 is billed as a hotel, despite only serving breakfast. Therefore, it is not a hotel!
As a B&B, £250 a night is very expensive.

Room tip: Most rooms have fine views of Oban seafront

We had a full on week driving around the west coast. I booked this for my girlfriend Kerri, as a birthday treat and way to relax after a long week.

STAFF
They were amazing from the moment of booking the hotel to the last second departing the hotel.. Douglas Budge was especially professional and helpful too, helping arrange the little touches for her birthday too. Also going out his way to help find a us massages that we could have in our room (see below for more)

They arranged us to have an early check-in even when so busy, which was massively appreciated. When we came in we were welcomed by the very friendly Irianni, in the living room who gave us Prosecco on arrival and wished Kerri a happy birthday. She explained the ethos of the hotel and how everything works and that the main focus was for guests to feel at home.

From that moment we already felt like we were home and were then left to relax and enjoy our drinks to head up our room when ready.

ROOM: ROOM 6 WITH GARDEN TERRACE

WOW WOW WOW! This room just blew us away. Staff already had put birthday gifts and cards on the bed as a surprise as we entered the room. The garden terrace was just amazing and so peaceful and private too. The bed was probably one of the comfiest of bed and we both got one amazing nights sleep on it. There was nothing to fault and even if you get too warm theres a fan in the room to help cool down too.

Lighting, decor, furniture and features of the room all just so well thought out!

Helped with the advice and local knowledge of Douglas, I managed to get a massage booked for the two of us in the room as I wanted us to enjoy as much of this room for the one day that we had.

The lady was from a company called Ianna Skincare International and we had a lady called Moilla do our treatments. We both thought it was one of the best massages we have had and she even used to used to work is Isle of Eriska, she was so so friendly and just so experienced. So if wanting a treat for yourself or the other half or both this is a must!

Food: Breakfast

Just outstanding quality and everything is so so fresh! The dining area is something to be desired for with a chef cooking in the open plan kitchen. We were going to eat down there but due to it being dry and warm in the morning both decided to make most of the terrace and eat there. We both had fruit salads and smoothies to start and then to finish, Eggs Benedict a Smashed Avocado with poached egg on toast. We could not fault anything.

What's clever is they have a door outside the room to access the terrace and set your breakfast up for you with out have to have trays and interrupt at your room! They are there and attending to you with out even you noticing.

They think about Everything!

Location: Everything is so close to each other so walking anywhere is no issue or problem and with the views and the fresh sea air its just a joy to take a stroll.

We booked dinner at the hotel down the road The Oban Bay Hotel. 2 minute (if that) down the road to walk and it was a perfect treat to end the week.

If you are looking for something special, make it easy and save time book here, you will not regret it. We will certainly be back again!

Many thanks to everyone at 26!

From

David & Kerri

Outstanding stay. Super friendly and helpful staff, welcoming, spacious and impeccable clean room. The location is perfect, too. You could spend hours sitting on the veranda, sippin some whisky watching the ships passing by.
