Our weekend stay in this peaceful location only minutes from Hawick, where we spent most of the time was very relaxed. We were well looked after by lovely people. The rooms are very spacious, good facilities & comfy beds. Although two of our group were less active they were able to climb the stairs to the bedrooms, as they are shallow & wide. There was lots of choice for breakfast with plenty of tea & coffee. We especially enjoyed the classical music playing quietly in the background as we ate together. Even if you are not staying there you can visit the well stocked shop to purchase a variety of gifts & beautiful cashmere.

Our room was upstairs, a family room with plenty bed room. It was right at the end of a long and winding lane. It was pleasant and very quiet, with the hostess providing just what we needed. Food was absolutely fine and did us proud. I never did get the Wi-fi to work but that was no problem for us. A fine relaxing 3 night break after a long drive south. Thank you both.

Dear Guests, Thank you for your good Trip Advisor review, so sorry it has taken me so long to reply to you. We have a TP link for the Wi-fi and we are at present having the aerials rerouted so hopefully that will improve things - or maybe it was just an off day - apologies. However, glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you another time. Kind regards Sheila

Restful stay after a long drive in heavy rain all day. Be careful driving there as the road from Hawick is on very narrow country roads. Got the spacious family room with good views. Great breakfast and very helpful gracious hostess Sheila; and the cashmere store was a joyful extra bonus to shop at!

We recently visited family nearby and stayed at this lovely little farmhouse. The bed was good, we had a great night's sleep, especially with some cool countryside air coming in through the window.

Owner Sheila was very helpful and accommodating. It was nice to indulge in a full breakfast each morning as we rarely do at home, but a lighter version with cereals and fruits was available too. At breakfast we met other guests and it was a nice to chat (and I'm not that social!)

We booked fairly last minute and had a private bathroom, with a bath, no shower. We were OK with this as we had time for baths but quick shower people will want to go for a room with a shower.

The wifi worked fine. One thing that surprised us was the room cannot be locked from the outside. It's all on the trust system. Which worked out fine fine but was unusual if you're not used to it.

The weather was kind to us while we were there (2 days of scorching sunshine!) We even took advantage of their 9 hole putting green. The only disappointment was losing to my wife who'd never played before. Oh well!

All in all, a recommended place to stay.
