i stayed with my husband and two friends. Firstly, there was nothing in the booking to suggest that we had to check in at the hotel next door. Given that it was a Saturday night, this would have been helpful, especially as there was a function on in the hotel that night. Our room was rather small but adequate for one night. However, we did feel the mattress was rather soft and was uncomfortable. The facilities were fine, however, little things like the toilet roll holder loose on the wall, which meant that the toilet roll kept falling off the holder. The main problem, however, was the breakfast. It was a self-service buffet type breakfast, which is fine, but the lids of the food trays was extremely hot and could only be used with tongs. Unfortunately, I burnt myself on one of the lids and presently have heard nothing from the owner with regard to this. I now have a rather sore burn on my thumb At no point, despite immediately advising the staff, was I given any form of first aid - for example a cold cloth to put on my thumb. The chef came out immediately and took all the lids away, but did not even attempt to come and see me. I was not impressed.More
