Review of Holyrood Abbey

The tour guide - a lovely young lady - at Holyrood Abbey was very helpful and provided a lot of information on the history of the Abbey and on King David 1st.

Kind David built the Abbey after seeing a vision of a Stag with a Cross between its antlers.

The history, the tombs - it's all very cool! This is a worthwhile visit for sure - doesn't disappoint!

Great to see right after Holyrood Palace. It is still gorgeous even as a ruin. Interesting to see the graves and coffins still there. Absolutely beautiful place.

Lovely ruined abbey attached to the Palace. Well worth the admission money alone.
Would recommend if you like history.

If you go to the palace, you have to spend the time to walk through here. Beautiful, picturesque. Haunting. The folks that work here are very knowledgeable and provide free guided tour.
