Staying at the Jury’s Inn. Jeffery St which is one street down from Royal Mile ( high street ) right in the heart of everything Holyrood one way and the Castle the other we went during the fringe and the street entertainers kept you well entertained during there set plenty to see around Edinburgh National Museum was very interesting and Carlton Hill was a great vantage point but if you are adventurous you can do Arthur’s seat

Stayed here over the weekend for 2 nights. Room was lovely and clean but we had a really awful smell in our room of sewage which seemed to come from the bathroom. Also woke up at 7.45 with the workmen banging about which is not ideal when you come for a relaxing break.

I think it would have been useful to have been told in advance that the air conditioning in our room wasn't yet working. Our room was so hot and stuffy. Not great in a pandemic and we couldn't open the windows. Maybe you should have reduced the price of the room if the air conditioning wasn't yet working in the refurbished rooms? Apart from that this was a good hotel in a good location.

Stayed here and although they did say when we arrived that they were revamping there rooms I was more concerned about the dirt of the lift as it hadn’t seen a cloth or a mop in weeks and with people using them daily and COVID still being about it’s a breeding ground for the virus and no ventilation for germs.
The staff were friendly and nice and we hadn’t ordered breakfast and thank goodness we didn’t as it was left outside the door in a paper bag and didn’t look as if it was worth the money and still dirty bags sitting at lunch time.

Good afternoon Lorraine,

Thank you for taking your stay with us and leaving a review.

I'm very pleased to hear that you found our hardworking staff to be friendly and nice. They really are a brilliant team, aren't they?

The cleanliness of our hotels has always been so important to us and now, more than ever, it really is essential for the safety of our clients and team members. We continue to deep-clean the public and private areas of hotel and I have passed your feedback on to the management and asked for this to be looked at as a matter of priority.

We hope you'll be able to visit us again in the not too distant future and enjoy our full buffet breakfast once we're able to start it up again in mid-September, all going to plan.

We had booked a family room and were surprised to find a connecting door linking to the next door room. We thought this was unusual but as it was locked we didn’t complain. However, when the guests next door arrived back in the early hours we quickly realised the door offered no sound proofing. They were drunk, shouting, being sick, etc and it sounded as if we were in the same room. Plus their room light shone through the bottom of the connecting door. We were offered a different room the next day but would not stay here again.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us here at Jurys Inn Edinburgh.

Sorry to hear about the issues with the noisy neighbours next doors. Some of our rooms are interconnecting so we can allocate our guests requests for the family rooms, at the same time those are our standard rooms and are allocated to our guests daily.

We appreciate you sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to serve you better in the near future.

Kind regards
Arkadiusz Teterycz
