A very welcoming and friendly hotel Comfortable room and good breakfast choice. The hotel is well placed for either a bus ride or a walk into the city centre with numerous restaurants etc. nearby. Well recommended.

Everything about this small hotel is excellent. Stayed here for 2 nights with my mother in separate rooms - both rooms had 4-poster beds (110 and 111).

The service was friendly and professional, the breakfast menu was extensive (and beautifully cooked) and the honesty bar in the lounge was a real treat each evening.

Also steps away from several bus routes to get to the Royal Infirmary or Edinburgh city centre,

Could not recommend this small hotel more highly enough for a short stay in Edinburgh.

Spent 3 days in Edinburgh at Kildonan Lodge for my 60th and had a super time. Staff uber friendly and very kindly upgraded us to a four poster room for the stay as well as providing a bottle of wine as well. Nice quiet room and comfy bed so we slept really well. Breakfast hit the spot, setting us up nicely for the day. Thank you for your hospitality, will definitely stay again when we return to Edinburgh

I've now stayed here on a few occasions late 2022 and early 2023. Not "business" as such, I work in Edinburgh but live 130 miles away, so it's not paid for by the business.

Often I stay with good friends in Edinburgh, but that's not always possible, and I'm conscious of giving those fiends their own space, so sometimes I choose hotel stays. And when you're staying somewhere regularly, how "at home" you feel is important.

I've found Crystal, Sean and all of the staff at Kildonan Lodge to be extremely welcoming and helpful. These folks are naturals for a hospitality business, seem genuinely interested in people and take pride in their establishment.

Lovely rooms and great breakfast with lots of options.
