Having read the very mixed reviews of this hotel I booked with some trepidation. Flybe had let us down and so we needed to book an extra night at a hotel close to the airport. We found the room spacious, staff friendly, heating effective and the leisure centre good. We did have a small problem with the room lock but that was quickly remedied by the maintenance team and James on reception was a credit to the hotel.

I would happily stay here again on the basis of their competitive room rate and facilities. It's a good hotel; I imagine the complainers may have paid £164 to stay - if you pay £64 it's well above par for that kind of rate. Don't be fooled it's a good hotel if a little tired in places but it's working it's way through a refresh.

Arrived after arrival at airport quite late. On arrival we asked about food and were told we could have night room service. When we rang for this as no menu or information provided we were told we could have either cheese and ham or cheese and pickle sandwich! Thank goodness for 24hr McDonald's and Uber eats! We were also not told the check out time again had to ring and ask we were told 12pm which was good due to late arrival. At 11am a staff member knocked on our door to see if we were checking out. We said we were told 12pm and this is also on website. He looked confused and said we could stay as long as we wanted. We didn't opt for breakfast as was £16 per person. Not ideal for what is an hotel that uses holiday extras with hotel and parking for airport

We stayed here for Hogmanay, 4 days. I live in Edinburgh but just thought It would be good to get away from it all.

The hotel staff were helpful and polite, although did not offer to help with our luggage, we ended up asking if we could use their luggage trollies and do it ourselves. Our room was not as expected, just trying to access the room was difficult and it smelled, the phone did work and as our plan was to stay in and just get room service, this was required. The reception staff changed our room. Our new room was fine, although we then found out that the phone also did not work but we later round out act the phone system was not working as there renovations taking place at the hotel.

Went to get ice from the ice machine, it was not working. I used my app to order things for room services and to call reception. Coffees we ordered were not as ordered, they did bring some complementary coffee.

There were a number of things that were not as expected for the Marriot brand, if we had been informed or even a note on the booking page to say renovations were taking place and things would not be as expected, I would have understood.

I know Delta joined Marriot last year so they are upgrading all their hotel, just as a head up. I was given compensation for the dissatisfaction so they are trying to provide a good service as expected for the Marriot Group.

I'm very sorry to hear it. We take great pride in serving our guests and certainly there has been areas where we could have done better. Hotel is going through an exciting renovation which indeed going to improve the stay for our guests. We do all our best to ensure our guests have a minimum disruption during there stay due to renovation as it's contained to one area of the hotel at a time.

It will be my pleasure to speak to you and welcome you back in our newly refurbished hotel soon.

Arrived about 9 at night, had a meal, fish and chips, very expensive but couldn’t be bothered going out, any had our meal then ventured to our room, freezing, only hotel I’ve ever been in where we’ve went to bed still wearing our clothes it was that cold, air con not working at all, was only one night so we just grinned and bared it, I hope it was only our room that was like that but I have since notice a few reviews saying the same thing

Booked a room here last minute before new year after hours of searching for accommodation. They managed to squeeze the four of us into a superior double room (1 bed and 1 sofa bed). We had a comfortable sleep. The sofa bed had already been made up for us upon arrival. The staff here are SO kind! Id especially like to mention the staff members who served us in the brew bar- Bhumi and Shubh. Very professional, friendly, and humorous. They even took the time to suggest a few places to visit in edinburgh. An impressionable pair who left a great mark during our stay! Thankyou
