Just back from a long weekend in Edinburgh where we stayed in the Eton room of Clarendon Luxury apartments. Owner Billy is fantastic, he kept in touch before we arrived, warmly greeted us and gave us great tips on where to go and what to see. The room was gorgeous and clean with modern decor, also supplies of milk, tea, coffee, cereal and Scottish shortbread were a lovely touch. The apartments are in a great location, only a short walk down Queensferry st to the city centre, about 15 minutes walk to Inverleith park and the Royal Botanic gardens and only 10 minutes walk to Tom Kitchens gastropub The Scran and Scallie, thank you Billy and team, we will definitely be staying with you again.

We stayed the weekend of 25 November. Very central location, just 10 minutes from Princes street. Accommodation is of a very high standard, in a quiet residential location . Beautiful old building but totally modernised. Ideal for a small family not wanting to stay in a hotel. We will definitely be back.

I recommend this place highly - perfect alternative to a hotel in Edinburgh. Classy, clean and convenient location. Tea, coffee and other bits and pieces provided. Don't forget to bring your own toiletries.

Great view from Eton Apartment towards the Forth and I appreciated the exercise reaching it on the second floor!

Bumped into Rebecca, the owners' daughter, who was helping out in their absence. Charming and friendly young lady.

We stayed a few nights while visiting Edinburgh - the apartment is spacious and clean and the wifi connection good. Much as you could get from an Air BnB. But there is no service. It is run by (I presume) the owner who meets you at the door. There is no service desk; no amenities (just a cake of soap - no shampoo, no hand towels, no milk even until we asked); no breakfast; no laundry service (we had to take our laundry to a local laundromat in backpack and spend time tracking down shampoo, coffee etc. !). The location is not great - we had to bus everywhere. And worst of all, there is no parking except on road parking - and you have to re-ticket every 4 hours! I was surprised that the hotel did not have an arrangement with a local parking building.

We've just stayed here and it's in such a beautiful setting very quiet area and only a simple 10 minute walk up to the castle. It has all you require for a short stay And even has a key to a private gardens. We where welcomed by Billy who lives on the ground floor wth his wife and he advised of the property and his contact details in case we needed him (we didn't,t ) there is a folder with everything you think you need to ask. Our rating was 10/10 We even had milk in the fridge for that first coffee while you get unpacked

Room Tip: Apartments are on the first floor and upwards very quiet
