The room was grand and spacious but also managed to retain a cozy feel. I stayed in a room with an open bath tub and it was the best tub ive had a soak in... felt super luxurious.
the staff were super welcoming and helpful on arrival, and made my stay really comfortable.

Amazing hotel, we didn’t want to leave. The staff are lovely and friendly. The art work and vibe to this hotel is very cool. The room we had was beautifully decorated and the bed was super comfortable. It’s definitely worth booking the breakfast , it’s one of the best full Scottish breakfast’s I’ve ever had. The location is just perfect for being in the heart of the city. Thanks so much for such a lovely stay, we can’t wait to come back.

Room tip: Try the full Scottish breakfast

Recently booked a long weekend break in Edinburgh and found 24 Royal Terrace through research on Tripadvisor - was not disappointed in the slightest.

The room (number 11) was a beautifully grand Georgian room with high ceilings, bold art work and a divine free standing bath as a key feature in the middle. My husband, who is 6ft, was in heaven that he could (for the first time in his adult life) fit fully in a bath and have a relaxing soak!

All the staff were friendly and happy to help - Tony helped by running us a whisky tasting experience with a days notice! A very interesting virtual tour around Scotland through the medium of whisky and (obviously) very tasty.

The hotel is situated a 15 - 25 min walk from the train station (just depending if you walk over Calton Hill or around) and about a 10 mins walk to the Playhouse at the bottom of the road. Great location.

I would recommend a stay at the hotel for it's uniqueness alone, but the whisky experience was just the cherry on the cake. Thank you.

Great hotel with a lovely ambience, fantastic artwork, great location, comfortable beds and a great experience. Parking was no problem and the breakfast was 5 star.
Room decor is great, good showers and handy for the playhouse.

Whiskey bar also impressive.

It is difficult to know where to start on what is great about this hotel… the ambience and the artwork… the well stocked bar… the well fitted and comfortable rooms …the superb breakfasts… or the friendly and efficient staff.
The location is also excellent as well.
Highly recommended will certainly stay again.

Room tip: Definitely include breakfast with your stay… if you like whisky, ask the staff to recommend something to you.
