So good to get some decent coffee outside of Edinburgh and in such chic surroundings too. I had a yummy breakfast of homemade granola and yogurt, right mix of tart and sweet. Staff were very friendly. Will definitely return.

Cafe was dead, nobody in. Staff were rude. Food was really dry. Coffees took ages to come. Toilets dirty.
Such a shame as there have been v good reviews.

Hi there, sorry to hear about this. I have messaged for more information so we can get to the bottom of this. Out of interest what day and time did you come in? Also, what did you eat?

We popped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The food was great, their steak pie was superb!
The service was very good and had no problems providing us with a combo that was not on the menu to satisfy our toddler's craving.

We will be back and I highly recommend this little cafe - even if just for a cup of Joe (their decaf also tastes great!)

Thank Kate G

Wind Cafe is tastefully decorated and cosy. It has a modern twist whilst maintaining some of the original features of the building e.g. The original walk in safe now is used as a store room. The cafe as a small snug area with two easy chairs, ideal if you need somewhere more private as a meeting space. This is not a chain, the owner does all the cooking and baking. Staff are attentive and friendly. The food is cooked in house. There are a range of speciality cakes and savoury quiches and signature sausage rolls. The menu caters for those with dietary needs, vegan etc. Cannot recommend highly enough.
