Pros: Great location; close to restaurants; clean and comfortable rooms; some staff members are friendly; breakfast is tasty
Cons: No elevator; breakfast ends too early in the morning; rooms on the street side can be noisy.

Room Tip: Remember that there isn't an elevator, so you'll have to carry your luggage up and down stai...

For the money, I suppose this wasn't a bad hotel but I was left uninspired and unimpressed. We had a room that was more or less in the basement. It was dated and could have greatly stood to be refurbished. There was a window that opened onto the street but there was no locking mechanism once it was open so your choice was to sleep in a stuffy room or leave a window open onto the street. The hotel did not offer washcloths and if you sat in the chair in front of the mirror you were too low to the ground to actually look into it. Furthermore, we paid for breakfast only to discover we had to be up at 7am on our vacation and had roughly a single hour window with which to get said breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful but the whole thing was lack luster and one day we came back to find wet paint on the walls surrounding our room and the smell was quite strong with little ventilation. The wifi was also incredibly slow so that I found it impossible to actually do anything on it while staying here.

We visited Glasgow for the England v Scotland football match ans chose sandyford lodge for our base. Ideally located for city centre and Ashton lane.
Lovely lady greeted us on reception giving us directions to shopping and bars etc.
We had room 18 with a double and single bed. Lovely spacious room with a nice bathroom (although ceiling could do with a lick of paint) shower was awesome , very powerful and lovely and warm.
Lovely view up to royal crescent from our room on 3rd floor.
We visited ashton lane in the evening and walked back through a lovely park which was a great short cut and brings you into the road at the side of royal crescent.
Breakfast was great , although my awkward daughter asked for scrambled eggs which were served with a "no problem"
All in all great place, so glad we choseit and wouldn't hesitate in booking again.

Nice property in lovely terrace off Sauchiehall Street and ideally located foot both West End and City. I had booked a single room and was given a very large room on top floor with 3 singles and a nice bathroom - absolutely spotless. Good wifi in bedroom and the breakfast is worth a special mention as it was very good. The owners are obviously working hard to maintain a good standard and at £50 B&B, takes some beating. Will definitely book again for next night out in Glasgow.

The hotel is located in a classic rowhouse on Royal Crescent. Rooms have classic high ceilings and tall windows. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom, though very small, had a fine shower. The staff were friendly and helpful without exception, and the breakfast options were broad and very satisfactory. We'd highly recommend the place.
