The lady owner was off due to ill health. Relying on people to run the hotel in her absence and was atrocious.
Even taking in to consideration this , hotel just not up to standard.
Such a shame as this delightful building could be so much more , a good clean fresh paint and some new bedding and curtains would be a start.
The shower needs replacing and the flooring . All the guests were very disappointed.

Room Tip: Don't pay till you see your room.

We stayed here for one night to allow us to attend a birthday bash nearby, the new owner (Alex)just took over a week ago,so is just finding his feet at the moment but has big plans for bringing the hotel back from the brink Alex couldn't have been any more friendly, the hotel is in a fantastic location for exploring the West end and has access to the subway nearby on byres road giving convenient access to anywhere in the city, the rooms are comfortable but could do with a little updating but as mentioned Alex has just bought the hotel and is working on this,We will use the hotel again and would recommend it to folk,at the moment it's not the Ritz but it is cheaper than most in the West end and comfortable

Stayed a while ago and didn't have time to write a review until now. Great location, had plenty to do. Wasn't much option for breakfast, basic but filling. The room I stayed in was clean but could do with a little bit of a makeover. Not much staff about until the morning I had left, was met by a young girl, if I remember rightly her name was Sharna she was very friendly and even othered to carry my suitcase as leaving. Not sure if I would return but recommend it for the location side of things.

Room Tip: Stay in room near breakfast room, big bed and convienant for breakfast

The shower head had black moulds on it so i had to shower without it! The room is big enough but there's no space between bed and wall on either end... We had to pay immediately upon arrival and were told that breakfast was upstairs, but there was only old bread and no butter and there were teabags but neither water nor milk even though we weren't late for breakfast. We payed over 300£ for four nights! Decide for yourselves.

Fortunately we only stayed one night for a wedding. As soon as we arrived we had to pay. We never saw anyone after that. We were given the wrong code for the door. There was a kettle in the room but no milk, tbags or coffee. The room is needing a make over and a good clean. Breakfast was included but we didn't want to eat anything there. It is not worth £75 per night. Don't stay there !
