    First impressions were to be barked at by the owner demanding our bank card. No assistance with luggage despite being in our nineties. No en suite as per our reservation. No cooked breakfast. 'Continental' breakfast was cornflakes. Vastly overpriced. I hate to think what foreign visitors think of Scotland if they have the misfortune to pick this filthy pile to spend the night in. Shameful.

    lied about being en suite // no cooked breakfast // no service for anything // no help given to senior citizens to carry luggage up to attic room with forty steps access // shared toilet on top landing // shared bathroom on lower ground floor // continental breakfast on ground floor with only kettle in bedroom back upstairs to attic bedroom // dismal and grimy unattractive surroundings // most obnoxious proprietor who demanded a form to be filled in and money paid prior to handing over of key on stepping in the door // paid almost fifty pounds for each of us two (£95) // worst 'bed and breakfast' in our long entire life. He doesn't deserve to be allowed in this type of business and he should be ostracised if at all possible,

    Friendly and helpfull owner. Proper breakfast and cozy interior. Excellent location 5 mnts walk from centre. One room (1) ok sized but 2nd (9) room really small. Cleaning could be better but rooms r well equiped. Both beds need new matrasses.

    Room Tip: Room 1 is proper sized.

    Kenny runs a very lovely b&b so close to the high street yet quiet enough to have a peaceful break i was looking at a lot of reviews and all the bad stuff is petty squabbling as i found the rooms clean cosy and very good the en-suite was immaculate . Kenny is in a quandry he wants to leave the business and retire to other prolerties which would be such a waste as he is a lovely fun guy . Well worth a visit perfect . The nicest place i have stayed this year

    Our first Scottish B&B so not experts in the genre but it met our needs well - short walk to the bus station, clean. The location, a couple of blocks from the river footbridge, was perfect for getting to restaurants and the host, Kenny, had good suggestions. Although located on a smallish main street we didn't hear any road noise. Breakfast was generous and the hot toast was appreciated. The room was a bit tight but the bed very comfy. The only drawback was that the heat seemed to be on only for a few hours in the evening. The extra blanket came in handy. Stayed two nights.
