We stayed here for a couple of nights. Room 11 was very large with a good view of the sea and the bed comfortable. The dinner menu was not like the one on the hotel's website and my wife and I asked if we could have omelettes instead and this was not a problem. My daughter's room was smaller and without a view but she still found it comfortable. Overall we are happy to stay here again and will probably do so. It is a good base from which to explore this part of Scotland including the Isle of Arran. The terminal for the ferry to Arran is only about 40 minutes away.

Room tip: Ask if a room with a sea view is available.

We had two rooms booked. As has been mentioned in previous posts, ideally try and book the sea view, well worth it. The hotel is located in a beautiful spot. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the staff were very accomodating, as we asked for items not on the menu. The food was tasty.

Set in a very scenic setting on the west coast of Scotland, this hotel delivered more than what was expected. We stayed there on Hogmanay and the hotel and staff delivered an exceptional experience. The entertainment was perhaps a little dated, but the food and level of service was second to none. Really welcoming and warm staff, high level of standard on cleanliness, delicious food. Would I recommend a trip here to any of my friends of London...of course i would. i true taste of Scotland!

Arrived on 31st December and have to say was a bit apprehensive, as we were attending the gala dinner and through the bells entertainment, and was concerned it was going to be a rabble. But what a pleasant surprise, the room was beautifully set out, and certainly wasn't overcrowded. Well done to the hotel, as most places cram as many people into these functions as they can but not the Fairfield House. Everything ran very smoothly and we had a great night, there was plenty room on the dance floor and the DJ catered perfectly for everybody's taste in music. The bedroom was a super size, with everything you could ask for, although have to say it could do with being refurbished, but perfectly clean, which is very important.
