This was our second time staying at this hotel. Check in and out was fine.Last time we stayed our room was fine. This time, the room was ok, but badly in the need of a redo. Old wall paper starting to come away from the wall, not great. The bar food was good but the seating at the centre tables is very low , we have come across this in other hotels as well. We left the bar and sat at an open gas fire in the lobby, nice and cosy, where four people could sit and chat, overhead there was a loudspeaker with the most awful music,if the speaker volume was lowered a bit and soft classical music played it would be much better. Other than that its was fine. Would stay again no problem, but would insist on a fresher room.

We only stayed one night but we were very impressed with the cleanliness of the room. The room itself was very lovely. We had dinner in the bar as the restaurant was full and the food was fantastic. We found all the staff to be very friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Good sized rooms, tv and wifi included. The cleaner did a great job and nothing was too much to ask, extra towels etc... The restaurant was also nice for our dinner meal but the vegetarian option wasn't great - no problem for meat eaters though.

Room tip: Comfortable beds

We were part of a large group of parents and students split between two hotels. The staff at Auburn Lodge took great care of our people and we thought we got the best hotel. Everyone had a smile on their face and wanted to help in any way they could. My daughter's suitcase did not make it and the front desk clerks directed us to an open department store (on a Sunday evening) and put us in touch with a local taxi service. My passport was left behind and they made sure it made it to the next place we were staying in Dublin.

The bar is very nice at this hotel - big, friendly staff, plenty of seating. Also, some outdoor space. Breakfast was good. The room could use some updating. Spotty WiFi in the room. Only one outlet and not close to the bed. The town center is a good walk away - about 20 minutes.
