Spent one night in room 103: twin beds. The room was very basic in decor, clean and comfortable. The bathroom appears to have been recently renovated with nice tile and a good size tub. The staff at reception and at breakfast were very attentive and very eager to please. Breakfast consisted of continental and eggs to order, with sides in chaffing dishes - good food. Having read other reviews, I think the "boutique" in the name is misleading, but it is a solid 3 Star hotel. Parking is limited.

We had a very good stay there : the rooms are confortable, very close to the city center (in few minuts you are on the pub!) without the noise. Easy to park the car. And mainly, the young receptionnist is really kind ! A big and warm smile, very helpfull, good advises, thank you again !
Just 2 things to note about this hotel : the wifi doesnt work on the rooms, and the breakfast room are a little bit cold/windy. Quite hard as wake up !
Anyway the town of Ennis is quite a good location : you find everything you need, many restaurants, many pubs as well, close to the moher cliffs and galway and very close to shannon airport.

Where to start. Stayed in Room 204 where there was Mold on the Curtains, on the bathroom tiles and mold on the Shower Curtains. The shower head kept sliding down the bar, which is fine if your 3ft tall, but not great when your almost 6ft. There are no Tea and Coffee facilities within the rooms. No bin within the room, just a tiny one in the bathroom. A wall socket half nailed to the wall. Rooms weren't service whilst we stayed at the hotel, and found some old, wet towels, left from those who stayed in the room before us. No mattress protectors and sheets where used instead of fitted sheets. The duvet was too long for the duvet cover. The double bed was two single beds, put together, with one bed being slightly higher than the other. Live wires handing loose within the wardrobe. A safe that required a battery, which wasn't provided. The 'Full Irish' breakfast was far from full. Plastic sausages and cold toast, and scrambled egg that was 90% milk, and a very bland 'continental' breakfast, consisting of cereal, dry cheese and stale bread. Boutique makes the hotel sound luxury, which it certainly isn't. Water dispenser in the hotel were full, but with no cups provided. Lighting on each floor is no-existent and Free Wi-Fi is only available on the floor your room is on, not on the reception floor or breakfast room, unless you have a good enough range on your device. If you're looking for somewhere else to stay in Ennis, you will definitely want to look elsewhere.

Room Tip: Don't Book Here!

The facilities are adequate, a few minor issues, but the service more than makes up for the facility. Lovely people are always willing to help and spend time talking to the guests. They are a short walk from the old section of town and all attractions. We would stay here again.

I booked this hotel off the back of an overall high rating on a number of travel sites. Frankly, I have no idea how they have such a high rating as it was an abysmal experience.

First thing I noticed was the dirt. The base of the bedside lamp, the shower curtain, the mould in the bath. I complained and after viewing another room, I moved as I was under time pressure to make a meeting in the town. The new room was cleaner but still not great. Torn valance sheets were gone, no mould in the bath but still needs a scrub and lick of paint. I moved the bed so I could reach the bedside locker and a bunch of change and fluff appeared - clearly no cleaning there in a while. Room was dark and gloomy (brown paint needs to be offset!), heating is electric storage heaters throughout the hotel.

The water coolers on each floor were a welcome sight until I went to use one and discovered they were empty. I thought finding bottles of water in the common tea room was hitting the jackpot but they seemed to be refills as the caps were open and dirty. Vending machine was out of order too.

Had hoped to grab a quick breakfast the following morning but the breakfast area was full and there wasn't even a piece of fruit to grab and go. Coffee shop area across the courtyard was also closed, closest place to grab even a bottle of water is the petrol station around the block.

Reception staff were friendly and location not bad for the town but that's where the positives end, sadly. I was relieved my friend couldn't make it after all, would have been mortified.

Room Tip: First floor seems to be cleaned more often
