This small, free museum is located along the River Lee and easily reached by walking the road out from town. The exhibits are well done and present facets of Cork not otherwise easily visible in the city. There is an excellent cafe behind the museum building with top-rate baked goods, coffee, and some light food.
Good museum for kids--they have room to run outside and the small size of the museum allows taking them out quickly if they become a problem.
