Nice atmosphere in this hotel by the Lee. Only had a short stay but the room was good and the bed was very comfortable. Plenty of free parking for guests and overall very good value. Pleasant staff and nicely situated. Highly recommended.

Stayed on a Monday night whilst overnight in Cork on business. Everything about this hotel is top class from the greeting when checking in, the room was spotless, the sheets clean & soft. The bathroom has one of the best walk in showers I've seen in a long time. The breakfast was excellent. The best thing has to be the outdoor hot tub which looks out onto the river - top class.

We stayed here after driving from Dublin to Waterford, then onto Cork. The hotel is very nice and has a large parking lot for guests. The rooms were very nice and beds very comfortable. Very large bathrooms and clean room in general. Staff was very friendly and the pub was nice to visit that evening after a long day of traveling. We didn't go into the city, we were able to eat and have a few drinks without leaving the hotel. Would stay here any time we were in the area- great hotel.

My wife and I booked this hotel for £85 on the web about a month before our business/pleasure trip of Eire because of its ratings. What an even better hotel than we expected. The Kingsley's entrance from the stone fountains and small boys statues in the courtyard, through the doors into an impressive foyer with a line of staff on the reception welcoming you to the Sister Hotel of The Foto Island Resort and Spa.
Joe was our receptionist and made everything simple even through to the upgraded room. He organised taxis to and from the restaurant we where eating at that evening and couldn't be more helpful.
The room was large, clean, well decorated, comfortable, with a double sized bathroom containing robes & slippers plus all the bits required if you forgot your body wash or shampoo!
There was a function that night so the bar/restaurant was busy but they had enough staff on to serve you quickly, a few people did mention that there weren't enough seats and tables for everyone!
After a great nights sleep, shower, and ready for more food. The breakfast room is stunning as it overlooks the River Lee, such a relaxing way to start the morning. The food that morning was very good with everything from the traditional fruit juices, fruit, cereal, cheeses, meats, and Irish Breakfast to Fillet of Steak with Poached Eggs and all very enjoyable!
Although we didn't have time to use the Spa facilities they also looked impressive and immaculately clean, but we did take a walk up the Hotels Path beside the River Lee.
Checkout was every bit as painless as checkin, with the only negative being a slight leak from the shower door onto the bathroom floor which I'm sure they fixed immediately because of their attention to detail.
A good idea of an envelope in each room for a €1 donation to a charity (which the hotel chooses every 3months)if you wanted.

So would we go back?

YES. Already booked for November!

Room Tip: Try for a room overlooking the River Lee

booked into the Kinglsey for a weekend for a treat. On checking in I happened to mention we got a little lost in the city trying to find the hotel, the receptionist apologised profusely and immediately upgraded us to a superior room. It was fantastic, possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. We ate our lunch and also our dinner in the hotel, it was so nice there with the view of the river, we decided to stay in the hotel. Our waiter was lovely and went through the whole history of the swimming baths behind the hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommnend it.
