I went with a group of my students on this day trip 3 years ago and we enjoyed it very much, so when I knew I would take another group of my students to Ireland this year, I decided to book the same trip for them too. Maybe if I hadn't had this great experience from 3 years ago, I might enjoy the trip more but compared with it, this time it was a bit disappointing for me. Last time our guide John spoke all the time and he told us a lot of interesting and even fun facts. He went with us to Glendalough and told us all about its history. This year our guide Bill didn't speak so much and when he did, I'm unhappy to say it wasn't interesting (compared with what we learned from John 3 years ago) - a lot of uninteresting details about prehistoric times. Also 3 years ago John made more stops in Wicklow Mountains and he didn't rush us so much. I was really grateful that Bill let me translate into Czech, which was in the end quite stressful for me as Bill's accent made it really difficult for me to understand all the facts about paleolithic, mesolithic and neolithic eras. It's not a reproach, though. I should get better at Irish English :-)
I have to admit, though, that the people in my group who had no comparison with the same trip 3 years ago, enjoyed themselves.
I don't really know who is standard if John or Bill. Maybe John did for us more than he was expected and Bill just did his job.

A once in a lifetime opportunity to trek in the hills of Romania! The trip was excellently planned to fit as much as possible into the trip with local guides and unique experiences including champagne tours and cheese tastings, we even saw Dracula’s castle.
A large group that mixed well and we even got to sample the nightlife of Bucharest.

My family and I took the Castles and Celtic History tour with Eamon the last week in July. We had an incredible time. It was our first time in Ireland and visiting passage tombs, the Hill of Tara, castles, and Celtic high crosses was the perfect introduction to our trip. Eamon was incredibly knowledgeable about each site and was thorough in answering all questions. Dublin was our first stop in our journey across Ireland. We were able to gain greater context and a deeper appreciate for Celtic history. Eamon even introduced us to the Gaelic language. The tour was also incredibly well-organized. They thought of everything, including a morning tea break! We had a wonderful time and I would recommend the tours to anyone who wants to learn the ancient history of Ireland.

What a wonderful day to spend in Ireland. Powerscourt was simply a beautiful place. We also enjoyed the two stops in the Wicklow Mountains. I would suggest to anyone that this is the tour to take. Again the beauty is awesome. Can't wait to show my family all the pictures that we took.

We got to see a lot of stuff, from a tour of Newgrange to the High Crosses to Monastic Sites to a tour of Trim castle and the Hill of Tara as well. Very enjoyable day, and we didn't ever feel rushed. The schedule was flexible depending on what people wanted to do, and we got lots of time for a relaxed lunch in a small town. Johnny was good fun and gave us lots of information and made sure we got to see as much as possible. We felt very well looked after.

Thanks Johnny,

From Nick and Ale and Natalia
