I found this place absolutely perfect. It was recommended to me by a friend who had been in Dublin in 2012. I was promised a slice of home comforts and welcome. The staff were very friendly and looked after all our needs. The real Irish welcome.

Fantastically central location, 10 minutes easy walk from Temple Bar. Great ( and typically Irish - warm and friendly ) welcome from the 'Director of First Impressions' who immediately accommodated my ( essential ) request for a room at the back of the hotel ( i.e. less noise ). This hotel is 'one up' from a hostel - lots of young and transient backpackers - and the rooms were fairly basic but comfortable ( e.g. tea & coffee in the room ). Niggles would include the safe in the room not working ( and this fact being apparent to the management for at least a number of days ) and the somewhat dirty state of the laundry room. For €50 per night, you get what you pay for and on this basis I would recommend.

Room Tip: For a quieter nights sleep, ask for a room at the back of the hotel

Spent there 6 nights. Apart from someone snoring as h*** next to me (bad luck!), the stay was very good. I met a lot of people, the rooms (in my case, a dorm of 12 beds) were very clean with the necessary space we need.
Only minus would be the fact of having only one bathroom for the whole dorm but that's just a slight discomfort.
The service was very good as well, the people at the reception were more than helpful and friendly!

I stayed on my own and was made to feel welcome. I enjoyed the layout and feel of the place, the staff were very friendly and having a locked (when unstaffed) room to leave your luggage in before or after checking in/out was great. Room, food, cleanliness, wifi all good. Great location, busy, noise from nearby bars seemed to stop at about midnight. As a woman on her own I felt safe walking around at night, which was important to me. I would stay again without hesitation

We had a two night stay here and found it was a great base, very central and clean and comfortable. The reception staff were helpful and friendly (they were able to oblige us with an earlier check in than usual as we had arrived well before 2pm). We booked direct with the the hotel and took advantage of the free Irish breakfast which was plentiful and tasty! If you are stuck for ideas of what to do the hotel has a tourism shop directly attached, there is free wifi which worked well and the bus to the airport stops literally outside. There was some noise outside later in the evening as people partied in the city, but the central location meant this was no surprise and it did not bother us. Would definately make a return visit!
