From the moment we arrived at 8am the staff were as friendly as a rattlesnake. We arrived on Sunday morning and checked out on Wednesday morning at 530am. We paid for 3 days, breakfast included. But only had breakfast Monday and Tuesday because first, we were denied a free breakfast the morning we arrived and second, the kitten doesn't open till 730am, so no breakfast the morning we left at 530am. Its unfortunate that most flights arriving from the U.S. leave the U.S. late in the evening and arrive first thing in the morning. In other countries we visited supplied free breakfast the morning we arrived, due to the fact that we paid from the room starting the morning we arrive. We always have early morning flight back home and never have an opportunity to eat the hotel breakfast the day of departure. But, we were denied and was told we would have to pay.
Moving on, according to the situation of the room, the rooms that have air conditioning are located far from the exit. You must walk down the main floor corridor to the end, take an elevator to the basement. Then walk to the opposite side of the basement to find another elevator that took us up to the forth floor and our room. Very inconvenient rolling around your luggage throughout this hotel and not even offered help from any employee.
Upon arriving to our room we turned on the AC, left it on for hours and nothing. All we hear is the fan in the ceiling but no air coming out. The next morning I reported after breakfast to the front desk about the AC not working. Evidently they must have thought I was stupid because their response was they would send up a porter to "teach" me how to use it...REALLY?
The porter comes up and fools with the thermostat and says yes, something is wrong. He says they will try to get a mechanic there that day but its a "Bank Holiday " and not sure if they will come. Then says he will give us a stand fan for the time being and have someone there either that day or first thing in the morning. Well to no surprise, no one ever showed up, leaving us with a stand fan and having to leave the window open every night allowing the damp air to come in and aggravate my arthritis worst than what it already is.
The bed was as hard as a rock and the pillows were all flat.
The first morning we ate breakfast, my wife and i drank bad/old orange juice. When I brought it to the attention of the kitchen staff they looked and agreed, immediately removing the old juice and replaced it with a fresh pitcher. Thank god my wife and I didnt get sick!
So all and all, many problems and will be the very last time we stay at this disappointing hotel again.
Stuffs are very friendly and tried to support many things in their best way that was really helpful and appreciative!!
Nice location, cross the street, there are convenience stores, famous Irish bars, main street, main shopping centers ,bus station and so on.
From Airport, take a bus shuttle that is enough even though carry a heavy one, as from bus station to hotel is very near to cross.
You will feel the Irish historical building and real Irish culture and love their friendliness and Irish party night!!!
Recommend you to bring back Irish’s homespun’s products, beer and scotch!!
Have a fun in there!!!

You can't beat the location as it's in the middle of the action.
The bed was comfortable and the AC was fantastic as I was there during a heatwave. The bathroom is however gross with mold in the shower and the sink. Thank goodness for travelling with flip flops.
Breakfast was good and filling.
We only stayed one night as it was nicely located across from the gate theatre where we we're seeing a show. It's a very traditional hotel style wise for that part of Dublin(old wooden decor) which was nice is that's your thing. The staff were mostly really nice and very effective. There when u needed but not in your face..
The only gripe was the heat in the rooms.. it was literally a sauna. The entire floor was hot hot hot.. so it seemed like they need to sort that.. maybe the winter time is a better time to stay :)
Thank you for your review. I do apologise for the lack of air con. Dublin and Ireland has experienced unusual weather this summer, we have had a heat wave, with very high temperatures. We have fans available to guests that require them.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you ever be coming back to Dublin and hopefully the weather will cooperate and not be so hot.
