If you love books - this is the place to go. The Book of Kells is only one attraction there - the actual book is small, but it's the book. However, the museum leading up to the Book is pretty impressive, showing the details of the Book itself. But I must say the best part of the museum is the Long Room - the old library.
The sight (and the entire feel) of the old library took my breath away. It was simply amazing.
Must not miss it.

Awe inspiring. Do the combined ticket (14 euros) that gives you the 1/2 hour tour of Trinity College (historical site in itself that represents what’s been going on in Ireland over the hundreds of years) and Book of Kells. My recommendation is to go to Book of Kells first because the line there can be tremendous. Then you can turn around and do the college tour.

Bit of a con. Only 2 pages of this book on show at any 1 time. €7 per page. Sit in a bar, drink Guinness and look it up on Google instead.

I had no idea about it! No such thing exists in America so it was an excellent treat to see this really old library. Book of Kells was great too but really the library blew me away- go now!

Its hard to not be impressed by this experience. The videos about how books used to be made, the display of old runes, its all pretty neat. Trinity College itself is lovely to walk around. Definitely a must if you're in Dublin. It can be a little confusing to find, so make sure you get clear directions.
