Great fresh, cosy single room - excellent shower - POWER - enjoyed...and slept very well too. The reception staff and all others were conscientious and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and there was extra heating (instant) in the room - should you require it. Booking ahead was easy and beneficial.

Room tip: Top floor - very private

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Egans House. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely, spotlessly clean and comfortable. We had breakfast one morning, which was very nice. The location is good too, the guest house is in a quiet residential area so it was peaceful, but there are a number of restaurants and a supermarket within 10 minutes walk. It was about a 40 minute walk into the centre of Dublin (but there are buses nearby too). We would definitely stay again on our next trip to Dublin.

Egans guest house was excellent. The family run atmosphere provides such a warm and welcoming feeling throughout my 2 night stay.

The place overall is a bit dated, it added to the family charm for me. Rooms were clean, beds comfy. Bathroom for us was particularly small, having a shower did end in a few bumps and bangs trying to move in such a tight space. Shower pressure and temp were both great.

Overall I loved my stay here, just outside town in a quiet and safe neighbourhood and a five minute walk from an excellent local (John Kavanagh) and the beautiful botanic gardens.

Nice bedroom, buses near the hotel for a very good city trip :) . 20 min from the center.
Breakfast is very good and the choice of food is large.
The common area is very nice too: computer, TV, newspapers, tea & coffee were at our disposition.
