My best friend and I stayed here just this past week. We flew into Dublin, and we're going on 24 hours of no sleep. We picked up our rental car and headed to our first stop at the Ferry House. We were about 4 hours early getting there, but it didn't matter. Ronan let us up to our quaint twin en suite and let us relax while he finished getting our room ready. He was a wealth of knowledge and we felt right at home. Needless to say, we slept like rocks and felt refreshed after our lovely full Irish breakfast...even tried white pudding for the first time, it was magnificent! What a fantastic way to start our trip!

My first trip international trip alone with my two daughters was like a homecoming the moment we arrived at Ferry House. Pauline and Eamon were the warmest hosts! We stayed for three days as we adjusted to the time change from US in preparation of an Irish dance competition in England. The B&B is conveniently located close to transport from/to the airport and to DART making trips to Dublin super easy. We had a room with three twin beds and bath that was spacious and bright. We stuffed ourselves with the most delicious full Irish breakfast every morning, which stuck to our ribs until dinner. (There were other options, too.) Pauline even made us a late breakfast one morning when we overslept due to jet lag, which was totally not expected as it was our fault for missing breakfast. She was so gracious! Ferry House is located near a park and and a few blocks from the sea front. I felt totally safe walking with my girls, 14 and 16. Our stay in Dun Laoghaire was very brief, but Pauline and Eamon made so memorable with suggestions for things to do including a visit to the Irish culture center were we enjoyed a music seisun and the girls ceili danced. (Pauline - thank you! ;) There is also a farmer's market just a block away on the weekend. We talk about Pauline, Eamon, Ferry House and Dun Laoghaire often and will definitely go back "home" the next chance we get.

We stayed in the Ferry House B&B for a week to attend a wedding in Dublin. The hosts were super friendly and offered great breakfast und support whenever we had a question.
The house is located next to a park and is in walking distance to the sea front and the main shopping area of Dun Laoghaire. The 7 bus stop is just 2 mins away and the DART train only 5 mins. Both bring you into town along the Dublin bay within less than half an hour.

Room tip: Ask to get a room towards the park rather the quite busy road

We spent 4 nights here so we could explore Dublin, but stay on the outskirts, and The Ferry House was perfect. Close to the DART, close to the harbor, a lovely room with a red ceiling, and Pauline, Eamann, and Ronan helped with phone calls and directions, as well as serving full breakfasts in their sunny dining room. Wonderful stay!

Room tip: Our room was upstairs and faced a busy street, but was still quiet.

My stay was for just one night. I was warmly welcomed, and the hostess Pauline was kind and helpful. Room was spacious, interesting house, and I had a most satisfying Irish breakfast. Buses were nearby, and the station was near enough to walk to.
