I arrived last Tuesday night with some friends. Check in was great the receptionist was very nice, polite and very fast check in. Room was grand nothing wow about it but was fine for one night. Then on a few of us was waiting inside the front door for one friend to join us from his room a man which i presume was a manager came out shouting at us very aggressively to get out of the hotel because we were standing around talking and laughing. Once we told him we were waiting on another resident to join us he said to us very aggressively again to go wait somewhere fu**ING else. We left in disgust at the way we were treated. I would definitely never return to this hotel ever again.

Old hotel, solid 3 star- but still- dirty towels and leaky toilets. Would stay again, but they can do better. The big bonus is triple rooms. One smelled smokey- but the staff was nice. Location is good too.

Very central, on eyres square and clean but a bit out dated. No views in the room we got plus it was really dark with no real daylight getting in. No outside area and smoking area was down an alley or out on the road. Breakfast was self serve continental. Good choice but dishes not removed when used and had to get extra cutlery from the next table.

My Friend and I stay at the Imperial Hotel 31st Dec to 3rd Jan 2017.
This was our first time in Galway and we had a complete ball of a time. We were originally booked in for two nights and ended up staying a third night because we loved it so much and didn't want to leave!
The hotel was in an excellent location and walking distance from all the main attraction, pubs, clubs and restaurants.
Staff were friendly and very helpful in recommending us where to go out and restaurants to eat in.
Can't wait to book out next get away to Galway, and we will definitely be staying in the Imperial Hotel! It ticks all the boxes and is excellent value for money.
