One night stay in Galway after a 6 day road trip across Ireland.
Lovely friendly welcome by reception and manager who kindly recommended and advised pubs and restaurants to visit in galway, even drawing us a map!
We had a lovely evening and thoroughly enjoyed.
Room very comfortable. Would definitely come back to this hotel if we returned to Galway.
Thanks

I had given preference for rooms at upper floor at the time of online booking but I was given room on the ground floor. It was very stuffy room. No Ventilation at all and no air freshener. It was very hot, couldnt get proper sleep.

Room Tip: Never get a room on the ground floor.

Lodgings were good. Service excellent. The property was clean and had free parking. The full Irish Breakfast was wonderful and it was a great way to start the day on cool rainy mornings. The rooms were adequate for city accommodations. Our room faced the road and was noisy, however the busy street quieted down in the evenings. It was a about a 20 minute walk into town and the street is really active with fast moving traffic. Be careful. Sidewalks are narrow in some spots. All in all a very good two night stay.

Room Tip: Ask for room not facing the busy road

It's hard to know where to start, really. We stayed in a room at the front. It was swelteringly hot and there is no air con, but when you open the windows the noise from the main road is overwhelming. Sleeping is pretty much impossible! Add in dodgy bathroom, mediocre bed, a hotel that feels like a converted office block and a 20 min walk into town, you have an honest review! I will say that there is carpark, which is a blessing and the guy on reception was friendly, efficient and helpful. If you can afford to go elsewhere, I would suggest doing so!

Stayed Friday, left Monday 15th August 2016. Was a very enjoyable stay. The staff make this Travelodge. They couldn't have done more for us. They had great knowledge of the local area and recommended places for us to go and visit. They even phoned to see if the Trad on the Prom was available. The service was excellent. We had a full Irish both mornings. Couldn't fault it. Very large comfortable room. The only downside was this morning, all four of us were abruptly awoken by the bins being collected at 6am! otherwise a very enjoyable stay. Will definately go back.
