Our family of six checked into the Park House Hotel after a long day of driving. Shortly after checking into our rooms, my husband fell ill from some bad seafood he ate elsewhere at lunch. The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful and caring as they supplied us with extra water and toilet paper for the night, sending this to our room immediately after hearing of our situation. Additionally, in the morning, knowing that we had and early start to the day and would be missing the breakfast, packed food for us all as well as coffee to go. When we return to Galway, we will not stay anywhere else but Park House Hotel!

Awesome location in Galway! This Hotel is on Eyre Square and walking distance to most sites in town, as well as the bus station.
Our room was clean and quiet with comfortable beds. The staff was exceptional. The food in the restaurants was fresh, delicious and interesting.

Room Tip: Central city location

This hotel was such a disappointment.
The ONLY thing going for it is the location; however this is not enough of a positive to outweigh the many negatives.
The hotel is very dated, not just in a cute traditional decor way, but the kind that makes you wonder how long the carpets been there.
The room was a decent size however the mattress was super thin and uncomfortable. I tried to call reception to request more
Pillows (we were given 3 total for 3 people) from the phone in the room by pushing the "reception" button but it it wouldn't go thru. I finally called the outside line and the receptionist told me I should have pushed "0"...well thanks for the note on that.
The hair dryer is probably older than I am and there was no iron other than some medieval contraption that presses pants but says it takes 45 mins to warm up.
The bathroom was incredibly outdated, but as clean as can be for something so old and used as often as a hotel. The knobs for he sink and shower were made of cheap pvc looking plastic.
My biggest complaint by far was that our room (#220) was located under a dentist's office. There was some noise that sounded like a cell phone vibrating on the night stand next to you intermittently all night. It drove me mad the first night. We decided not to mention anything because we weren't sure any other room would be better. I ended up sleeping with ear plugs the next night, which helped but did not completely take away the noise.
We decided not to eat at the hotel based on other reviews that the "free" breakfast didn't include much more than pastries and you had to pay more for any warm dishes.
We ate at the coffee shop "Mocha Beans" a few doors down both mornings and the food and coffee there was great.
It was difficult to find the parking however they offered to valet and that experience went pretty smoothly.
All in all we wouldn't recommend Park House Hotel. In fact, we didn't find Galway to be worth the stop either. It was definitely not kid friendly. If I had to make a recommendation for a hotel in the city I would recommend people look in to he Radisson Blu.

Spent three nights at the Park House Hotel in Galway. Outstanding rooms! Service was exceptional! The staff was incredible. Breakfasts in the dining room were wonderful. Location is in city center, minutes from everything. This is one of the nicest hotels I have had the pleasure to stay in during 8 trips to Europe.

Spent one night at the Park House Hotel in Eyre Square Galway when on our self drive tour of Ireland. The location is central to many of the shopping and tourist areas in Galway so it is a perfect location for tourists. Our room we clean and very well appointed. Bed comfortable, ensuite spacious. After staying in B&B's for a while was lovely to be treated to a glitzy hotel experience. Highly recommended.
