Went to Galway races and stayed at this hotel the staff are wonderful couldn't do enough for you. The noise is unbelievable, bands at the front and disco at the back can't escape it, we were warned. Hundreds of people you couldn't get in the foyer or the bar, it went on till the early hours. The rooms are big and comfortable. I would stay again maybe when the races aren't on.

We stayed in the Clayton Hotel for 2 nights, having dinner in the hotel bar on both occasions. I couldn't recommend the food highly enough. Mark the chef was phenomenal, the goats cheese salad was to die for and the pork was melt in the mouth.

I attended a function in the Clayton Hotel last night i appreciate that the crowd was large (over 500) but it was booked so the staff should have been on duty, There was no visible management during the service of the meal. We took our seats 7.30/8.00 pm It was a simple menu "Soup" cold and so thin lacked all flavor i'm not sure what vegetables were used in the making i reckon they forgot to add the cream to a Cream of Seasonal Vegetable Soup. "Turkey and Ham" it was a good portion the flavor of the stuffing was perfect its a pity it was cold. "Fillet of Salmon" again cold and a very small portion. The menu said served with vegetables and potatoes they did not arrive to our table but some tables did get them. It was now 9.40 pm. The delay in service was deplorable I would not recommend this hotel to anyone holding a large function.
