Description: We opened "The Porterhouse Gastropub" in the height of the recession in December 2011, year on year business has continued to grow. We pride ourselves in serving good pub grub accompanied with live music. We have a full bar, which is known to be a lively spot on the weekends. We offer live music 7 nights a week - all year round. If you are looking for a quiet fine dining meal in a restaurant environment, we aren't the place for you.

Very nice food we had. Service was great, they really looked after our kids. Steak extraordinary. They also serve Murphys

Got caught watching a little too much live music and was scrambling to find something open for food- although Porterhouse was winding down the friendly waitress seated us and we had a great meal, fish and chips excellent here! Best part was, I was having a great conversation with my daughter and rather than interrupt and ask us to leave they just shut off most of the lights, closed the door and left the place to ourselves!! Just loved the attitude- thanks to all staff for making this a great night!

We were seated straight away by very friendly staff and or order was taken promptly. The food was not great though. I ordered the patatas bravas but what arrived was some potatoes with what looked and tasted like dorrito salsa on top. I also got the wings which were soggy and sickly sweet. It seemed to me like a bit of a tourist trap.

We arrived at a busy time circa 8pm and waited at the bar for appreox 10 minutes until a table was available. Very busy, buzzing atmosphere with waiters/waitresses rushing around keeping everyone happy. On seating, i had the Prawns Pil Pil starter and the Sirloin Steak as a main course. Service was a bit slow but considering how busy it was we understood. Both dishes were excellent ! My party had chicken wings, Steak Sandwiches and BBQ Ribs all of which were tasty hot and delicious ! We will be returning to this restaurant next year and hope that this quality and good atmosphere can be maintained.
