Very short stay at the Savoy. We were only in Limerick for the day and had lots on the menu to do so we did not spend much time at the hotel. We arrived early in the morning and unfortunately were not allowed to check-in, which was fine as we had prepared for this. We left our luggage and went on our way to explore the city. We loved the location of the hotel as we were easily able to walk to access the places we wanted to see.

Upon arrival back to the hotel later that afternoon tired after our tour we checked in and went to our room to freshen up and relax for a bit. Rooms are very large, almost the size of an american hotel room, and the bathroom was also large and well appointed. Beds were extremely comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was amazing. Would have loved to be able to stay here for a few more days. Would definitely return if ever in Limerick again and would not hesitate to recommend!!

Booked the Savoy Hotel very last minute for a getaway. We parked across the street in Harvey's Quay car park, you can get your ticket validated in the hotel to avail of 24 hours of parking for a discounted rate of €8.50. We were delighted when we were informed upon check in that we had been freely upgraded (without asking or requesting) to an executive room on the 7th floor. There are 8 floors and the views are stunning if you happen to get a room overlooking the river and the castle - we could even see snow on the mountains (room 717). The room was clean, spacious and quiet. It had a well stocked mini bar of beverages and snacks, tea/coffee making facilities and sparkling and still water. The Molton Brown toiletries were fabulous. We had access to the executive lounge on our floor which offered complimentary tea, coffee, fruit, cereal bars, crisps, chocolate bars and canned beverages. We availed of the leisure facilities in the evening time around 6pm and were the only ones there - pack your togs as there is a swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as we usually prefer a lie in over breakfast, but didn't realise the hotel actually serves breakfast until 12pm which is unheard of in any other hotel (most hotels stop at 10:30am latest) and ideal for anyone who wants both a lie in and breakfast. We went out of the hotel for dinner but did have lunch there the next day in the Hamptons restaurant (3 courses of lunch for €18.50 and was incredible) and wished we had just stayed in there the night before to eat. All staff were really friendly, the hotel was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Cannot believe it only cost €120, definitely the best value for money 5* hotel I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in hotels including Killarney Park, Aghadoe Heights, The G and Solis Lough Eske. Will definitely return.

Room Tip: Room 717 had a balcony with views of the river, mountains and castle and also had access to the executive lounge

This is a fabulous hotel. Parking is just across the road. Lovely rooms and great breakfast. The staff can't do enough for you. Good bar and central location. Cannot recommend it highly enough if you need to stay in Limerick city. Christy the concierge is amazing, nothing is too much bother.

Now I know we can never replicate home. But this hotel is one of the few five stars in this country which actually feels like home. At ease, relaxed with a fabulous connection to the Hamptons Restraunt and a breakfast dining rom which will not be beaten. Enjoy enjoy....

We stayed as a group of 6 ladies on a social visit. From the moment we walked through the door we were treated like royalty. We were given an upgrade to the executive floor. The rooms were fabulous. We had access to the executive lounge on the 7th floor which was a very relaxing space with complimentary refreshments and snacks. We had spa treatments which were lovely and the pool area was a nice addition. We had afternoon tea with prossecco which was a lovely way to end what has been an amazing weekend. The staff at this hotel are a credit to the the hospitality industry. We will absolutely be returning to this beautiful hotel.
