Eat here recently on a night out when we stayed in Harrogate. It was a very good menu, lots of choice. Quality of food was outstanding. Not so expensive and the service was good, waiting staff very attentive without being overbearing.

Booked the hotel in January for three nights bed & breakfast for March and we wish we shoud have booked it for five nights, it is a lovely hotel and staff are very friendly, the food was very good, so was the rooms, the only thing was it snowed a lot and very cold, there is plenty to do in and around Harrowgate, we will be going back.

Just back from a 2 day break. Cant add too much to the previous reviews but any minor shortcomings were made up by smiling staff .. particularly the young girl who had to explain that the bottle of wine left over from the previous nights diner had been poured away in error ...of course a full bottle was the replacement !

Hotel was ideally located for seeing all the sites of interest in Harrogate. Staff were friendly efficient and helpful. Afternoon cream tea was disappointing (worlds smallest scones). But the evening meal more than made up for it both in quality and quantity. The restaurant had no ambiance and was cold properly due to its size. The room was tired looking we had two single beds pushed together and when you sat on them they rolled forward. The reception area was warm and welcoming as was the bar area.

wow! first impression was only to be increased by actually going in and staying for two nights, the whole atmosphere of the place was unreal, seeing the plaque about Agatha Christie staying there only made us more excited about staying, the hotel is gorgeous and sends you back to a time now long passed, the detail in the wood and plasterwork, the glass ceilings etc. is astounding, breath-taking infact, the rooms were huge and dated ie in keeping with the surroundings, we hooked up with two couples staying there and stayed in the bar until getting onto 3am, and this I think was indicative of our surroundings, truly wonderful, breakfast in the dinning room was again something else, the size and splendour of the place was incredible, if I get a chance I will go back in an instance, to think this hotel was £2.50 more from the Travelodge in Salford quays Manchester that we were in the night before beggars belief really, cannot say enough good things about this place, loved it.
