This is a jewel in the crown of dining experiences in Harrogate. The surroundings are understated yet delightful. Service from the moment you walk in to the moment you depart is attentive without being overbearing. The food was sublime, our starter for the table of four was a cold and hot maze! Could have reordered and eaten it again as a main it was that good. Two at the table had the chefs special! A slow cooked lamb dish with spinach and topped with cheese in a sauce that was mouthwatering. One of our party went with the aubergine vegetarian dish, which I would definitely want to try on our next visit. The final guest had a dish of aubergine with mince, they didn’t realize it was lamb mince which was not to their personal taste so ate the balance of the food on the plate. The proprietor was so concerned and went beyond to ensure we remained happy, it wasn’t necessary as there was no problem, but just another indicator of what excellent service you get here. Deserts were fabulous a duo, a Turkish rice pudding and a baklava. The meal finished with apple tea. Will we return you bet! If you enjoy a glass of beer with your meal don’t miss out on an authentic Efes!
