We visited here on boxing day and were greeted and seated quite promptly the lady advised us there would be a short wait for food . We had a child's burger , and two adult burgers it was quite good quality but quite expensive for what it was we had a starter of chicken and a kids meal and two burgers a wine and a lemonade and the bill came to £46 it was nice food but a bit pricey

Had heard a lot about Byron’s so my husband, Paul, and I decided to try it out. The restaurant itself is very comfortable even with the floor to ceiling front windows and the bright lights. We were sat promptly and welcomed by Matt, our server, within 10 seconds. After looking at the menu we both decided on the lunch option of burger, side and a drink for £10. We both upgraded to a Byron Burger for an extra £1 and we wanted to try the sweet potato fries, so we ordered those as well. Byron’s is one of the few Burger places you can still order how you want your meat cooked and as I like it medium rare to medium, this was a plus. I asked Matt why this was and he said they don’t use mince but ground steakthat is brought in daily, this was another plus as it equates to freshness.

Our burgers came out in a reasonable time and each one looked great. Mine was just as I ordered, medium rare to medium and Paul said his was cooked correctly as well. With the cheese and bacon, it was worth the extra £1. The fries are traditional French fry style, not British style chips as are the sweet potato fries. Both were still hot, so fresh out of the fryer!

When we finished our meal, Matt asked if we needed anything else and when we said no thank you, he didn’t try to rush us out but was ok with us sitting a bit. I like this because some restaurants try to rush you out once you finish.

We thought £10 for each was great for this meal but if we weren’t able to get the lunch price, we’re not sure we would come back. Off the regular menu our meal would have cost over £32 and we are not quite sure it would be worth that much. For that reason, we gave it 4 rating. If you do visit, ask for Matt, he is a great server and doesn’t mind a quick chat.

We will go back at some point for lunch, which is until 4pm, Monday thru Friday.
