We have stayed at the Apollo many times over more than 15 years and it started out as feeling like a real treat and quite luxurious but now the surroundings feel out dated and a little scruffy. The staff and facilities are good but the building definitely needs refurbishing

Stayed here with family, the hotel was generally clean except for the leisure centre changing room floor gullies which were filthy however the leisure centre staff were very friendly and informative.

The rooms were of good size and clean, I did feel for the hotel star rating the rooms should have included bottled water which unfortunately they didn’t.

The sofa bed was the wrong size for one of the rooms we’d booked and wasn’t made up which we had to wait to get done.

Our group were also disappointed that the hotel bar closed at midnight when there were clearly guests including ourselves still wanting a nightcap before bed!

The really disappointing part of our stay was the breakfast, the pastries were fresh and of reasonable quality but the buffet style cooked breakfast was a shambles, with either no bacon and or sausages available for clearly some considerable time and when eventually the sausages did arrive circa 10/15mins later they were clearly of a very poor quality, and as for the hash browns well they were all in tiny pieces and looking very un-appetising!
All in all the breakfast was disappointing and most of it was left on the plate uneaten!

To summarise the hotel was ok but looked a little tired around the edges but could be so much better if it just got on top of the small details and tried a little harder to improve their guests overall experience.

We stayed here as a party of thirteen on a weekend package deal to visit Peppa Pig World at Paulton’s Park. We were travelling with five children under four years old. The staff were very accommodating, helpful and professional despite the hotel being very busy. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were very efficient at restocking the buffet and clearing tables whilst being friendly and professional despite the restaurant being extremely busy first thing in the morning. The evening menu in the main Italian restaurant is limited but the food was tasty and nicely presented. Again, the staff were wonderful and accommodated our large party and young children. The hotel feels luxurious, if a little tired in places in the rooms. Our room was spacious and the bed was one of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in. I’d stay here again and recommend to friends.

Been here many times with a friend for a girlie chill out couple of days and although it’s not a 1st class hotel it is most certainly nice enough with spa facilities and restaurant etc and if you look you can go here for a reasonable price!

Liked the reception area and helpful staff. Hotel looks good on arrival with ample parking.
Room in need of update, old fittings and furnishings with a very small double bed.
This was OK for a single night would have to reconsider staying here for extended period.
