The fine dining has gone replaced by a much more relaxed atmosphere.
Staff were attentive and sometimes overly so. Food was good, brasserie style, although I felt a little rushed. Had the smallest cocktails I'd ever seen and happy to say the price reflected that.

We ate there last night and had a really good meal and great service. The staff are super helpful; the portions are generous. Very dog friendly. We'll definitely return.

Woman who took our booking was extremely rude and abrupt. There was no salt and pepper at our table and after finally getting salt for our table the waitress took the salt of us 60 seconds later in spite of the fact that 2 empty tables had salt on them. Sticky toffee pudding and lemon meringue were excellent. Chips were inedible soggy and greasy inside.

We ended up eating here twice during our week in Chipping Campden. The 1st time I had the Sunday roast. The portions were ample, but the quality of the food was only average. The watermelon and feta salad that I had on our second visit was delicious. Both nights the service was slow and inattentive. Even when the restaurant wasn't full, they struggled to keep up.

Reservations are definitely recommended even on weeknights, since they prioritize those staying at their inn.
