First, let me disclose I am a Hilton Honors Gold member and so I have higher expectations when I stay at a Hilton properrty.
I traveled to Mhnchester on a buisness trip. My assistant reserved this Hilton because it was convenient. The room was guaranteed with a credit card. We arrived early morning after an overnight flight from Atlanta only to find that our reservation had been cancelled and I would have to wait at least two hours for a room.
Rather than fall asleep in the lobby, I accepted a room with two beds instead of the king I had reserved. I The room reeked of smoke, so I came back to ask for a different room. This time when I went to the room, it was right next to the highway and I could hear the trucks going by. On my third trip to the desk, I was offered a "family room", which I was told was an upgrade. Well, the family room was a room with four beds in it. None of them a king size bed. So when does getting extra beds in a room constitute an upgrade?
the bedwas so hard I could not sleep. I sleep on a firm mattress at home, so this bed was really hard. My colleague complained of the same thing the next morning at breakfast.More
