WIFI was a little expensive.Free in surrounding cheaper hotels. As we had no one at reception to book us in we had to pay $5 US to leave car in car park for 15 mins whilst we booked in before returning car to rental company at airport. We booked breakfast but they had no note of it and I had to show them from my lap top what had been booked. Restaurant food was probably the worst I have eaten in a long time. Greasy and bland. Asked for salad dressing as it was dry and was told "not sure if we have some" 10 mins later was served mustard and oil as dressing!!. Fries were inedible due to so much grease.Wrong food was brought to table .Not good. Excellent staff on in the morning though at breakfast

Room Tip: check the wake up alarms they have old fashioned clock alarms and weary travellers may not check or cancel and have a rude awakening at 6am as we did after being in bed only 3 hours. I suggested to hotel they check the alarms when doing rooms as a matter of course or move to personalised wake up calls from the phone.Deluxe are on par with average rooms in other Hotels so try for one of those. Do not be discouraged when staff look at you down their nose and say "you booked with which cheap on line company modom!!."

I have stayed several times at this property on my way out of Manchester. I check in the afternoon before my flight, enjoy a meal and a movie, and catch the shuttle to the terminal in the morning. Easy to take the train to the Manchester airport station, call from the courtesy phone at the train station and they are prompt to pick you up and deliver you to the hotel. Very friendly, helpful check in staff. The food I have ordered from room service has been very good, quickly delivered, but rather pricey. Breakfast in the morning in the cafe, and then the free shuttle to your terminal. I will continue to stay here because the staff is friendly and helpful, and I prefer hilton properties.

The hotel has been refurbished since my last stay two years ago. The convenience of being close to the airport for early flights is the reason for my stay. Having a shuttle service makes it easy. The room was great but disappointed that in such a large hotel WiFi was at an extra charge. The service in the restaurant was appalling...waiting 45 minutes before taking our order and another half an our before it arrived at our table. When our meal finally came it was cold and very average and prices outrageous. There is nothing else close by so they have the monopoly on having the convenience of a restaurant or room service. I will stay again for the proximity of the airport however I will have a meal elsewhere before checking in.

On arrival all was well. Hotel looked ok inside and we checked in no problem. Car parking was easily sorted. We went straight down for dinner the Mason brasserie.
The food was a bit on the pricey side but it's inside a Hilton so we thought lets try it, it should be pretty good. My £15 burger was dry and lacking seasoning but was well presented. My wife's pizza (around £16) was pretty good but could have been cooked longer to allow the base to crisp up. Starters of spicy pork belly were lovely but not spicy. The waiting staff were polite but not tentative at all. We were never offered a refill of drinks nor did they offer sauces for the chips. Total bill was £60 for 2 starters and 2 mains plus 2 soft drinks. They do offer a meal voucher but this has not been explained so i am not sure how it works.
We finished our meal and asked at reception where we could go to buy a magazine, the girl was so busy texting she never noticed us until she was done, she gave us direction to walk to a petrol station only to find the footpaths all closed for roadworks but that's not her fault, maybe she does not go that way to work.
We went to our room to watch tv and get some sleep. Rooms look nice and are comfortable however the toilet does not flush unless you pump the handle for a few minuets which seems stupid or just broken. The tv in the room would not access it's fiction so we watched bbc1 and started to nod off when the tv just started flicking through menus and popped over to some hardcore porn channel, this led to a mad dive for the remote as I am not about to be billed for porn the night after my wedding. All I can say is they are lucky we are not religious or have children as I am sure that could make a family's stay very uncomfortable. These channels clearly need some sort of pin or something cause this is not acceptable!
To summarise, clean, well presented hotel, over priced food for the quality you get (I consider myself a person who eats out regularly at all different standards of eatary), staff not great considering the hotel branding but the parking was easy and the rooms clean and comfy and great if you fancy some random hardcore porn (I do mean hardcore, proper going at it, not some Hollywood sex scene). Would not use Hilton again much prefer the times I've stayed in a Marriott or even cheaper hotels such as a Ramada.

I have been staying at this hotel almost every-time I fly from Manchester Airport over the past year. About 10 stays at this point. My first stay was not very good, however the staff did all they could to make it right. I gave the hotel a second chance and happy I did. I have noticed many renovations over the past year, better Diamond perks, and staff improvements. I hear they still have rooms that have not been renovated, but are working on it. The renovated rooms are very nice, and the Restaurant bar area is also now all new. The pricing at the hotel bar and restaurant are what you would expect to find at an airport hotel, a bit high. The food is good. Breakfast starts at an early 0430, with cold items only at 0500 the full service starts this is great for early flights. The shuttle for the most part is very good, once I had an issues with a lot of people waiting for the shuttle at 0445. I walked it, and it was not a bad walk at all.

The staff is overall good and helpful, Kat is really good! She came to my rescue on my first stay a year ago when I had a list of issues. She is always looking out for me now. This is a good example of a Hilton employee. So thanks Kat!

I think this is a good place around the airport, the park and fly rates can be very attractive. I have never had an issues with that service. Early flight stay here and save on the stress!

Thumbs up for the improvements over the past year! Keep it up!

Also I got some Drink vouchers on my last stay as a Diamond, if this is a new perk to make up for the fact there is no Ex Lounge. These little cards go a long way for a Diamond.

Room Tip: Get a renovated room.
