Owner description: The historic Victoria Baths hold open days, usually on the second Sunday of each month from April to November, and guided building tours every Wednesday at 2pm. You can see the incredible stained glass and tile work, along with the three swimming pool areas. The Baths are undergoing restoration.

Victoria baths really is a little gem, they do public and private tours. I've managed to go on 2 private tours organised by a local photography group over the past few years, most recently in Autumn 2011. It was amazing to see all the work & restoration done with the recent grants & funding received. Victoria baths is a listed Edwardian swimming pool and Turkish Baths complex, closed since 1993 undergoing restoration. It has played host to several TV shows as a filming location including 'Life On Mars' and more recently, 'Bedlam'. The tour guides are very knowledgable and passionate about the baths and all money raised from tours is put towards the restorations.

The tiles, stained glass windows, and layout of the victorian bathing experience is fascinating to see.

I'm so pleased this building is being renovated.

I love this place if you saw the "Restoration " series on television you will know this place. As well as bring very interesting you are suporting a great cause as well as being a living museum events are held here throughout the year and the guides have a real passion about the building.I loved the ornate tile work and i understand the intention is to fill at least one of the pools for use in the future. It's a great place for the kids and i am sure like me you will want to return.
