I visited here recently with my mother and my sister. We had drinks in the beer garden before coming inside for something to eat. The beer garden was lovely, set behind and old church in St Anns Square. I have heard lots of great things about Mr Thomas Chop House which is why we decided to try it. We were not disappointed!
The service from the waiting staff was excellent - all the staff we spoke to were happy and chatty, and they couldn't do enough for us!! The food was superb! You could tell it was all home made - The fish and chips was enormous, and the corned beef hash looked amazing! We didn't have room for a pudding
The building is beautiful - we were told grade two listed, so its all very original. The only thing that I can say in a negative way, is that the toilets need some attention - but that would not stop me going back, because of the wonderful staff, and beautiful food - Highly recommended!!
