This is a small, quaint authentic restaurant. The foie gras is rich, creamy and the best we've had in the region. And the escargot was delicious, served traditional Bourgogne style.

However, there was no English menu... which usually isn't a challenge for us, but we made us some assumptions about the menu which shouldn't be made. So... ask questions before you order. The staff is amazing and willing to give you guidance.

In terms of our meal, we would give it a 4, but what made it a 5 was the service. And specifically, the waitstaff's quick attention toward providing toys to a fussy toddler so she wouldn't disturb everyone else's dining experience.

We would definitely eat here again!

This is a nice little restaurant with good service. We had a lovely fish and a great steak. Paired with wine from Alsace!

We were anticipating a nice and quiet dinner in a pretty and cosy small winstub. We were given a nice table for two in the upper floor. Half of the small space was already "occupied" by a group of about 15 American tourists. The problem was that: a. it was a very noisy and annoying group, and b. the only young lady that was serving the room was practically "absorbed" by this group. As a result we were thrown two menus on our table and we had to wait for twenty minutes to give our orders. Our food arrived without any word or question. We had to ask for salt and pepper, for bread , for water. the water arrived but no glasses on the table. Anyway it has been a rather unpleasant situation and we decided to leave as soon as we ate our food, which by the way was very good, despite our already bad mood.

A winstub is a popular and relatively inexpensive dining option in this beautiful region. This place is small and cosy, with lots of bare wood - floors, walls, tables, chairs etc and is decorated in a simple fashion with an assortment of old radios, teddy bears, old stoves. Froem the short menu I chose foie gras, a thick slice of which came on a slate with sweet chutney. Quite acceptable, but not exceptional. With this I had a glass of Gewurztraminer, which was very good. Main was a brochette of beef with bearnaise sauce and gratin dauphinoise. The beef was medium rare and passable, the bearnaise was good, and the gratin potatoes would have been better if thinly sliced rather than served in chunks. The moelleux au chocolat with vanilla ice and cream from a spray can was OK. In all, a passable meal.
