We had a lovely clean spacious room overlooking the estuary. The staff were friendly and helpful providing good service. We are both nights in the Hotel Restaurant, the food was very good quality and acceptable prices. If you love sea food, especially Crab, Lobster or Muscles then this is for you.
Thank you to the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

We understood from our booking that we would initially be placed in one of the rooms on the 1st floor with a patio/balcony overlooking the river, but then would need to move after the first night into another room on the top floor. On arrival this arrangement was confirmed, but the receptionist said that the room for the 2nd night onwards would be much better! And so it proved to be. The larger and better room on the top floor was an excellent location for three nights, especially the view of the river and quayside in both directions. The top floor room was excellent value, very clean and tidy, just what we needed for a relaxed stay in Point Aven. We used the hotel restaurant on two of our nights here, which was of a really good standard with a great choice of fresh fish/crustaceans and meat dishes. The breakfasts, although of a simple European style were always fresh and enjoyable. Service for breakfast and evening meals was excellent and very friendly. We would recommend Hotel Les Mimosas as a good base for touring and sightseeing in the town and local area. Parking can be an issue in Pont Aven, but at the hotel end of town several free parking bays are available, especially in the evening for hotel guests. Many thanks to the hotel staff.

Room 2 has a balcony with a good view over the river and I believe is one of the better rooms at Les Mimosas. The other window also has a fine view. The bed was large and excellent. The other facilities - in a room which was big enough for an overnight stay, but, not huge - were basic and older.
The fixed-price dinner menu (27 euros for three courses) was very good, especially the starter of gratin of clams. The carafe Muscadet was enjoyable and inexpensive. Altogether, it was a most enjoyable meal, served efficiently by friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was of a good quality - rolls, croissant, jam, yoghurt, an apple etc (no cheese or meat) and reasonably priced at 10 euros. It was an overnight stay for us and we would do it again.

WE stayed here with friends who had been here 30 years ago. It is a great little hotel on the edge of town with the lots to do just 2 minutes away. The food was good, the accommodation was comfortable and the staff efficient and welcoming. We chose rooms with a balcony that was essential in the hot weather.

Room tip: chose room with balcony

As a family of 5 adults visiting for 1 night, we occupied one triple and one double room. The hotel is very charming and located at the quiet end of Pont Aven. Rooms are cozy and quaintly decorated with wonderful views of the river from the windows. Check-in was quick and efficient, and hotel staff are friendly and helpful. We didn’t end up eating breakfast at the hotel and ate dinner at the nearby creperie (the hotel restaurant is indeed very popular, but the menu had limited vegetarian choices).

There is no private parking anywhere in Pont Aven, but we were asked to use paid parking (blue lines, free after 7pm ) or park further down the road near the marina until the free parkings (white lines) opposite the hotel were vacated by late evening. This was May and worked out fine for us, just something to bear in mind in high season/summer where it would inevitably get complicated.
