Owner description: This beautiful museum, once a railroad station, now houses a staggering collection of Impressionist art, as well as other items created between 1848 and 1914. In 2011, the museum is running a renovation of the top floor (impressionist gallery). Only ground and medium floor are accessible. The top floor will re-open on the 20th of October. Meanwhile, some impressionist masterpieces are not visible.

A Cultural joy but very hard going as we had been on our feet most of the day.
Despite the reviews, suggesting that one book ahead, the queues were not excessive

fortunately we visited this museum, is an experience a truly one. its history very interesting, it was a railway station and became a museum.
it is open to the public from early the morning,9:30 until noon,so you can dedicate the whole moring there, and have the evening free. the entrance is not cheap,9 euros, but worths it.
take as many fotos as you can, i regret that i did not have my camera with me and did not capture the moment of this building.on the top floor there ' s also a restaurant and the amazing view to the sacr ceur.

Ok...we had to wait in line outside in the snow for 40 minutes so that part was not fun. However, the museum is amazing. van Gogh, Monet, Renoiri, Toulouse-Latrec, and so many more it was crazy. They even had Whisler's Mother hanging there. We spend 5 hours here and it was so worth it.
